Plenty of room for a family. Pool just outside the building was easy to access. Two balconies in the room - one off of bedroom and one off of kitchen/sitting area. The kitchen balcony was covered with sticky mess - we fortunately caught housekeeping while we were there and they cleaned the mess after we made a request. The wine cooler fridge in the bedroom badly needed defrosting - it was a huge block of ice. The dining table looked beat up as did some of the other furniture. Washer/dryer inside unit was a plus. Living areas have tile floor with large grout lines - keep that in mind for kids. Probably easier for clean up but hard on feet and little bodies that might want to sit and play on the floor. Had a huge runaround with trying to check in. We were in another area of the resort for several days before moving to the villas - told we could check in at 8 am the night before. We had bags packed and ready to go so that we could get a jump on the day and be back to have guests over at 3 pm. By 10 am after multiple trips to the front desk we still weren't in so had to hang around - really getting the runaround from front desk staff (they were nice, pleasant people but no one seemed to be empowered to follow through on what had been promised the day before). We were told that the room had to be inspected - this despite the fact that the room was vacant the night before. Finally ran into Deborah in the lobby - told her our plight - and she intervened. Thank you Deborah - who knows how much longer we might have waited. We were able to get into the room at 10:30 am. The front desk manager (Brian) was not allowing us in until he checked our room upgrade approval. Why not do that the night before? or several days prior? OR a couple months before since we made our reservation that far ahead of time? Not sure how this was allowed to occur. Keep in mind possible snags like this if you are traveling with little ones. So 2.5 hours behind what we were originally told we did get to the room. Apology anyone? PS. Still waiting to get a copy of our invoice almost a month after being there (one phone call and two e-mail requests). Unfortunately this all left a pretty bad impression of the place.
