Description: Taste the difference fresh ingredients make at the Blue Fire Grill. Our executive chef’s focus on ingredients harvested from the surrounding area means that every bite bursts with the cleanest flavors; diners literally taste the beauty of Carlsbad, California, and the surrounding areas. As the seasons change, so do the menus, which only entice guests to come back again and again to sample the in-season ingredients. Fresh coastal seafood and fine meats are perfectly paired with our wine list, or you can sample artisanal cocktails prepared in the lounge area.

Happy hour on Saturdays with a live three piece band! This was perfect to the end of a relaxing day. Sit on the patio, so you can also experience the fire water fountain.

“Excellent at reasonable costs”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

Better than expected at a great price. I had the ceviche - not your typical tomato based but a scallop ceviche mixed with an avocado puree. Spicy and delicious. Also had cioppino - again, not your typical Italian cioppino but more of a soup. Unfortunately, one has to dunk bread in the sauce because its so good or ask for a soup spoon and eat the broth that way. Friends had the wild salmon and said it was the best they had. Veggies and rice were organic - everything is local and fresh. Excellent dinner. Will be back.

“Great value, excellent food”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

Ww had a great meal at blue fire. The prices are reasonable for the level of service and the quality of food. If your staying at La Costa then you should defiantly try this place. The short ribs and Mac and cheese are excellent and mo than enough to share between two people. The bread they give is amazing especially the flatbread.

“Nice local seafood ”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

The wait staff was very attentive. I had the spot prawn and clam special. Very fresh and good, but missing a fresh veggie that should have been a logical side. I'd say it's expensive as entrees were between $40-$50. That and a glass of wine plus CA taxes...
