This place was built to be a architectural replica of the Paul Revere Green Tavern in Boston. The food is excellent and there is also a small museum with original artifacts from the owners collection. Awesome little find! Highly recommended!

Our family had the best time here and the food at the tavern is outstanding. Extremely friendly service, quality culinary experience and a truly unique setting makes you learn about our country's founding. Can't recommend highly enough.

We have been to this tavern and museum in the past and took the time to read the revolutionary times presentation of the permanent museum. It is worth doing. Now to the adjacent tavern. We arrived through the small cafe, drawn by the sign listing " coffee and donuts". The staff directed us to the hallway adjacent as the way to the Green Dragon.
We positioned ourselves to watch the world cup semi finals on the big screen and ordered vegan food as usual. We ordered the black bean hamburger, tomato soup and a third helping of really good, seasoned French fries. (Hey, it was the cup and we stuck to water as the start was 11am.) Note: I generally don't prefer a black bean patty but here it was perfectly prepared. The cook was on top of it. The patty was slightly charred which raised the consistency to firm, with lettuce, pickle and onion. This was a very noteworthy combination and the flavor, firmness came through perfectly and without heavy sauce, etc. We used ketchup on the fries out of habit. They were great without it.
As the lunch hour approached, more people arrived but the tavern was not over crowded or noisy. The woman who served us was highly skilled, taking care of the bar and our food in the beginning. She really made us feel welcome, made sure we had everything we wanted, and assured us there was no need to feel hurried. France advanced.
The inside of the tavern is reminiscent of the late 1700's with warm wood paneling. and historical references. The paper beneath the fries retained the same theme. We'll be back. Give it a try especially for the black bean burger and fries and the rather unusual setting with the associated free museum. I tasted the tomato soup (bisque) it was very good, too. The menu had a wide choice including meat and fish. There is a full bar as well.
Local cyclists might find the cafe a good stopping point to recharge with array of drinks and pastry.

I was just passing by and asked google for food near me... This spot had a good rating so I decided to give them a shot. I had the French dip, which was great! Also great service, and music.
Glad I found them, I hope I'm hungry next time I pass by!

The Green Dragon is a most interesting place. It has a museum in the back of early American History. It's great to walk the kids through while you are waiting for your food. The tavern atmosphere is great for large family gatherings as it's both intimate but child friendly. I loved the braised brussel sprouts and the lobster macaroni. The food is excellent and they have a full list of craft beers. Go! You won't be disapppointed.
