Where to start. The Cisco Kid was one of my favorite memories from when I was young. Rarely missed an episode. Poncho, his sidekick, was a likeable partner with a thick Mexican accent that was always jolly, a little childlike and managed to always get himself in a little trouble to spice up the show. Little did I know, when I visited Poncho's ranch that he was a well-educated, Mexican actor who was 70 without any accent and who owned a large ranch raising cattle and horses. He had a complete village built on his property with a large pool, a Cantina for his caballeros, a little separate home for his wife where she could get away from the larger hacienda. He entertained with large parties of business men and fellow actors. This place is well worth the trip and holds so much more of his life and family. You will not be disappointed if you visit.
