Adam and his crew sure made me and my family felt welcomed. Their welcoming smiles and positive attitudes and their willingness to help make your stay a comfortable one. Congratulations to Adam Rivera and the crew for a job well done. Catie was also very helpful. Love this place and can not wait to return to enjoy the beautiful sunset views.

Those who travel with young kids know what a challenge it is to find a place that can accommodate the whole family. This resort exceeded all our expectations. There were things to do for all of us. The beach is literally just across coast highway 101, a short walk. The resort has all the beach stuff you need-chairs, towels, sand toys, wagons, boogie boards, you name it, they have it. We have been traveling on our timeshare through RCI for 10 years, and this is hands down the most complete resort we have ever been. They have a pool for adults which has amazing views of the ocean and sunsets, and they also have a pool for kids/families which is located closer to the units. There is a large water park type feature for which the kids loved. The Activity Dept was staffed with friendly faces which had many many activities for children of all ages....even a s'mores night out by the gas fire pits. The rooms are spacious and we had a great ocean view on a upper floor. They have wifi throughout the resort and my wife was able to even boot up and work out by the pool because of this cool feature. Plus, they have a complimentary business center in the lobby with a couple workpods with printers in case you dont want to lug your laptop on vacation. Their Tennis court and fitness center were the nicest Ive seen at a timeshare resort. In fact, you wouldn't even know it was a timeshare resort for how well it is run and maintained. Kudos to the management who have seemed to have developed a friendly and personable staff of employees. You can tell these people love their guests. We had an excellent trip and highly recommend to all our fellow RCI members to place Carslbad Seapointe on your travel request list.

Spent last week in this resort having a great time with wife and two kids. Loved the quick access to beach (not a big deal to cross a 4 lane road at a crosswalk). Awesome beaches for miles around. Legoland 2 miles away and San Diego 25 minutes down I5.
Resort was a perfect place to do a lot of day trips to the zoos, harbour cruises, baseball games, parks. Carlsbad was a neat little town with quality restaurants. A sweet thing about the resort was they gave you a big wagon, boogie boards, chairs, beach toys to head over to the beach. What a lifesaver. Also had great basketball court, tennis, sauna, public gas grills, decent fitness center and ok lap pool. Like I said had everything we could want as a family.

This is the ideal location to bring your family with kids that are young and teens and your in-laws (provided they have their own room). My very French mother-in-law was highly impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the entire campus. Staff clean off the pool chairs and tables every night and the plants, grounds and flowers were spectacular. We have never stayed at a resort with endless activities for the kids to be outside playing. They moved about every 45 minutes from one of the 2 pools, large family jacuzzi, miniature golf course, the most amazing set of a dozen dolphins that they can play on, a large play structure over sand, another work out area with bars and rings, basketball, tennis, volley ball, large grassy area for soccer, ping pong and pool. And don't forget you can take free of charge any type of beach chair, towels and bogie boards to walk across the street and play in the ocean!

Seapointe is right next to train tracks. Two different types of trains run and both ring bells or honk horns late at night, early (six’ish) in the morning and throughout the day.
Half the resort rooms face the ocean and the other faces inland. The rooms that face inland face the train tracks, playgrounds, tennis and volleyball courts and the pools.
The rooms that face the ocean also face the driveway of the resort, all the parking and the Highway. The rooms on the lower floors don’t have any view. Second floor rooms do and don’t. Third floor you can see the ocean or the inland hills.
Front desk staff was solemn, not friendly and we had to pry any information from them.
The manager and assistant manager were very friendly and helpful.
You can hear everything (EVERYTHING!!! If you get my meaning) your neighbors are doing at all times. We heard people getting in or out of bed, going to the bathroom, walking around and talking. It sounds like people are stomping around when they are just walking because when kids are stomping around it is way worse. We learned our neighbor’s names through the walls without even meeting them. Bedroom windows face hallways where people roll their luggage and are generally noisy going by.
One elevator was under repair and it was a pain to take luggage up and down and to walk the luggage to the complete opposite side of the resort. The resort suggested we park on the street instead of the garage and informed us there was security patrol from 10pm to 6am.
Some things were lacking in the rooms such as enough towels, pillows and a coffee maker. Stuff to make coffee with but no coffee maker. Housekeeping brought stuff up right away.
The beach is about a 10 minute walk from the resort. No bathrooms at the beach so if you have to go to the bathroom...walk briskly. There are nice beaches up and down the coast. Cardiff by the Sea South beach cost $8 a day for parking, was very clean and had tide pools.
The resort doesn't want towels hung up on the balcony, which we understand, but there weren't any towel racks inside or places to dry out bathing suits.
The coolest thing about this resort was that they have all terrain wagons, boogie boards, sand toys, towels, beach chairs, volley and basket ball’s to borrow. They only have 3 wagons so it is best to go down first thing in the morning. There is also fun water tube spouts for kids and a cool little pirate playground. The resort also has fold-a-way beds to use if you have kids that don't or won’t share a bed.
