Actually, Legoland IS my kid's favorite place. We love it there. Perfect for younger aged children. Great for ages 4 to 13. Also we live much closer to "The Mouse", we go here much more.

Definitely not worth the ticket price. Everything was dirty especially the rubber flooring in the play areas and the playground equipment itself. The attractions show their age and are not well kept up. There was chipped paint, rust stains, dirty water and everything was sun faded. Even the models in Mini Land were dingy and dirty. I expected more and we will not be returning.

We chose to visit Legoland during our San Diego vacation due to the age range they advertise on their website, which is ages 2 to 12. We were visiting with 3 children, ages 2, 5 and 8. The 5 and 8 year old enjoyed the park thoroughly but the 2 year old had very little to enjoy. We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children so collectively we paid just over $600 ($78/adult and $68/child x 2, 2 year old was free) for our day at Legoland which we felt was a bit steep (and did I mention an additional $12 to park each of our 2 cars). Since the 2 year old was not 36" tall there were many rides which would have been age appropriate that he could not go on even with an adult. The helicopters were his greatest disappointment! Don't get me wrong, there was a fabulous playground for the 2 year old with a small train that he enjoyed, a boat ride and a plane ride but considering the entrance fees we paid for him to enjoy these few items, we did not find it equitable. In retrospect, we wish we had chosen to go to Sea World or the Wild Animal Park instead of Legoland due to our varied age group. By the way, there is no senior citizen discount....I bet a lot of grandparents like us enjoy visiting with their grandchildren. Would we go again? Probably not.

I was torn between a 3 and 4 rating and here's why: For a 5 year old who loves lego, it was perfect. There were a lot of rides that were age appropriate for his age and only one of them was too scary- only figured that out AFTER the ride unfortunately. I think it was called the Accelerator-so be advised! We went on a Thursday and the longest wait was maybe 10 minutes so that was a PLUS too for a 5 year old. My disappointment was that the shows were boring and they really have room for more fun things than they had. We went in the winter time around Christmas thinking it would be fun with Christmas deco's, but don't expect much- nothing like Disneyland. I recommend going in the spring/summer more because there were a lot of water rides/attractions that we did not do because it was too cold. They had plenty of places to grab a bote as well, but like any other place it was expensive. You can bring your own food in as well. Overall, if you have a child between 3-7 that loves legos, then is it is a MUST SEE. If you're just looking for fun things to do, there are better cheaper ways for sure.

This theme park has rides, a water park and some Lego attractions. I expected more featuring of Legos. What there was, ie Miniland and Star Wars, were very cool. The rides seemed pretty tame. The water park was closed as the weather was pretty chilly. It seemed pricey at $65 for an adult discounted ticket.
