Our latest trip to Kings Fish in Carlsbad left us less than thrilled. The service was fine, but the food was nothing like it used to be. We ordered the cold seafood platter. First, it used to come on a stand so the ice didn't melt all over your table, the shrimp was overcooked, the oysters were very small and the snow crab was watery and tasteless and they didn't bring the packaged wet napkins and when we asked for them the waiter went to look for some and then came back saying they didn't have any. What seafood restaurant doesn't have wet naps? The waiter did let us switch the clams for extra shrimp and that was really nice.
Let's just put it this way, we left hungry after spending $70 (not including tip) and we will not be visiting the Carlsbad location again.
