We stayed at the Thip Residence for 3 nights as a short break from our usual travelling and staying in hostels. It was a welcome break with great staff who carried our bags to and from our rooms and really looked after us.

I ate at the restaurant once and the food was of very good quality (and the shakes are very tasty too). Our room was cleaned daily and we got complimentary water every day.

One thing to note is that it is in a very remote area, but the longtail boats are literally 2 minutes away and getting to Ao Nang is around 10 minutes for around 200baht.

There are a few shops in the area (7-eleven) and a few nice restaurants around.
Overall a very enjoyable stay here.

Oh and the pool is excellent on a sunny day!

Room tip: The back rooms are definately quiter, but the noise at the front is not noticable at all.

Arriving in the Thulip residence we firstly were a bit surprised about the very outback feeling. This changed very soon as it is seated closely to a small pier where longtail boats ship to Raleigh. As we travelled by car we cannot comment on the taxi prices to downtown Krabi. Anyhow there are big Tuktuks every now and then.
Our first night was a bit noisy as our room was towards a busy street. We asked for a more calm room and had good nights from that time onwards.
As I was really sick during our round trip through Thailand we appreciated very much the clean food initiative of the Thulip which didn't affect the typical delicous and tastefull dishes in any case.
The Thulip pool is fine for a quick swim and it's nice sitting there also. The Tulips A/C was very silent and easy to controll why we had the A/C also running during night time here. Rooms were sufficiently spacious and clean.

Room tip: Garden / Pool view is calmer

We stayed for 3 nights at this beautiful hotel outside Ao Nang. The room was clean and nice with a balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Smiling all the time and served really great food :) Outside there is a garden with a lovely swimmingpool. I would recommend this place for everyone who wants a quiet stay, but if you like the nightlife you should probably consider somewhere else.

We had 2 separate nights at Thip Residence, located in a quiet location just a mere 5km from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang. A beautiful boutique style hotel with generous rooms and bathrooms along with the usual amenities of tea/coffee/hairdryer etc. The food was fabulous and the staff were fantastic. The swimming pool is set in a tropical style garden with a jacuzzi which was great for the aching feet! A short walk from the picturesque pier and the goings on of longtail boat activity. Ju, you and your staff are nothing short of the perfect hosts and we loved staying with you. Thank you for your warm hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again! Ingrid, Jo and 'the girls'.

Room tip: We had the interconnecting rooms which were on the first floor with balconies - very spacious!

Dear Ingrid Jo and small charming girls
We appreciate to know your happy staying here and come back home safety.
We remember how lively you are when you come back from Aonang by a Tuk Tuk and taking a photo in the front of our hotel, the children shout together 'One! Two! Three! in Thai when the driver took photo for you " and ....
It was very beautiful to meet you Jo and the children.
Kindest Regards

Ju and all of my staff

My husband & children aged 5 & 10 stayed at Thip Residence for 6 nights. The staff were extremely helpful, on our arrival the manager offered us connecting rooms which made things much easier for us. The rooms were very clean and spacious although bed slightly too firm (typical of most Thai beds - I've found). We seemed to have the whole place to ourselves for the first few days which was a bit weird. We loved the pool & gardens, well tended & clean. Easily situated to visit Railley beach by long tailed boat, tuk-tuk to Au Nang 150 baht. We enjoyed the breakfasts, lovely fresh fruit & enormous pancakes. We ate at the hotel a few evenings and found the food delicious.
I would definitely stay here again & recommend it to friends.
