Cocktails and wine list are nice and ample . Very nice selection of apps and main dishes . Staff both friendly and non rushing make for an enjoyable visit . We had Saturday night dinner here, watching the sun set. Gorgeous atmosphere overlooking the ocean. The decor, newly updated, is stylishly beachy (aged wood & industrially chic metal sleekly combined). Our waiter was absolutely tops, from start to finish. The food, despite some complaining reviews I had read on TA, was genuinely delicious. It was ample, creative and expertly prepared -- at our table at least. The specialty cocktails and desserts are noteworthy too. Loved the PCG classic Margarita. And my guest had a berry margarita she loved as well -- NOT cloyingly sweet even. Their crème brûlée would only have been better if it were warm. Happily, it still was creamy and the brûlée sugar topping perfectly crisp anyway.

I was ready to love this place from the moment I walked in and was thrilled by the sights and smells of the ocean from our beach-side seating. Menu had very intriguing options, but of the three we ordered--fried calimari, yellowtail tartare, and a fancy sushi roll--only the calimari was great, with the other two being bland and disappointing. The waiter and manager were both really nice about it and offered a creme brulee (which was creamy and crusty, very good), yet the chef needs to pick up his/her game because the view is so wonderful, you want to go there again, but only if the food gets a lot better.

Went on Sunday, Sept. 1, thought it would be quiet..it was packed. You must valet your car and they take it up the street and park it on the street where there's a chance of it being hit by cars coming down the hill and you will get scratches and dings.

The restaurant is really nice looking and the though we only saw a portion of one of the decks outside and it was night, it looked great. The baked oysters was okay. The oysters were small and very little taste. My boyfriend got a gin and tonic, but it tasted mostly like tonic and water. He tried the scallops and liked them, not awed by them and I had the lobster tacos which were okay. I also tried the lobster and shrimp chowder...was okay.

Basically, you're paying for the view with poor to average food. Go there, get the appetizers and a drink...not a gin and tonic, and see if you can sit out on the deck. It's the view you want, not the food.
