I had high expectations from the website and the ratings. I had this idea that I was going to have a balcony and fresh air - not so. My room had windows that faces the street, did not open, and the room was DARK. There are some nice rooms that face the courtyard and have a balcony but I got a dark room with a bad view and no fresh air. It was a disappointment. As a Platinum Marriott member I did ask about a better room and how I could get one with a little fresh air and I was given two different answers "you have to request a balcony in the notes of your reservation" and "you have to reserve a fireplace/spa room." Neither ended up being accurate. The room was the primary disappointment but the secondary was the check-in staff. The woman was rude and told me nothing about parking or breakfast or anything when I checked in. She gave me a key and pointed while looking away. I travel the US and have higher expectations of Marriott properties, even a Fairfield Inn and Suites.
