We have now stayed with our two small children at Villa Carlos three times and can highly recommend it. It's in a neighborhood of other family homes and with lovely beach and seaside cafes near by which you can walk or take a short drive to. And, it's a great jumping off point for going into Patras city center as well as across the bay to scenic Nafpaktos.
I always tell the lovely owners that Villa Carlos is set up nicer than my own home! They've thought of everything. The family who own and run the Villa are exceptional and always leave us fruit and cakes along with some essentials when we arrive. The cleaner they employ is also lovely who comes a few times during our stay. The Villa itself is all still very "brand new" feeling and you can tell that they take very good care of it. And, if we ever have any questions or issues working anything, the owners or one of their family members come over to help us.
Most of all though, I love just being a family and entertaining at this house. Our kids love the table football game in the basement (and the evevator inside the Villa!). And, downstairs is also it's own stand alone flat, with bedroom (en suite bathroom), kitchen and sitting room--we had our kids' grandparents stay there over Easter and it worked really well for them to have their own space. And, we've hosted a few large family meals on their exquist terrace, under the bougainvillea, both in the Summer and on Easter in April. It's sublime.
We unconditionally recommend Villa Carlos and look forward to returning sometime very soon.
Terrible experience, location is bad, owners are disrespectful and non professional.
