The wooden interiors, the porch outside, the lovely bright colours, the cosy ambience, all make for a great space. Besides, it is located on a mountain and the view of the surrounding mountains and valleys add to the overall charm.

And the food? Excellent! They grow their own herbs (also available for sale) and the dishes spell passion and attention to detail. The presentation is absolutely lovely. The waitresses add to the comfort and warmth of the overall experience. And they do have menu cards in English - a huge deal for a foreigner who understands nothing of Hebrew, leave alone being able to read it.

The experience was well worth the drive.

If you like excellent food at a moderate price in a rustic setting, and you don't mind driving a bit to get there, this place will become a favorite. Every dish we've ordered, and we've had quite a few in the last couple of years, has been delicious, whether an appetizer, a main course or a dessert. The wait staff is friendly and speaks English. Yes, the location is a bit out of the way, but if you find it in Google Maps before going the first time, you can get there it easily. We usually add some extra time to go further up the road to enjoy spectacular views of the valley before dinner. Friends whom we've taken with us regard it as a special treat to go. It's well worth the drive.

Some restaurants you chose for the ambiance, some for the view and some for the chef/meal.
At the Gilboa Herb Farm (Havat Ha'Tavlinim) you get all three.

The restaurant sits on the top of the Gilboa Mountain Range, so you can enjoy a beautiful view of the entire area while eating on their outside porch. We came at sunset, so we were able to enjoy the day and night view of the Jezereel Valley and surrounding mountains.

The Restaurant is all wood, giving the feeling of eating in a country home and they use their own home grown herbs/spices. You can even purchase their products at the entrance.

The food - one of the places where you can really feel the chef has put in so much of his/herself. The perfect use of herbs and spices to bring out the best flavors in every dish. Although most of dishes are meat based, they have a delicious vegan dish!

Prices well worth the meal and service we received.
A very special restaurant.

you will not find that place without GPS, but it worth to look for.

Atmosphere is great, especially for a couples, but if you travel with kids, tractor outside restaurant have special added value :-) And scenic view is one of best you could expect from a restaurant.

Food is good, just good, nothing more. Really advice to take homemade wine and no other option, but you can ask to taste all of them, if not believe me. Desserts are small, tasty, but also don't cost much. And yeah, they don't know how to prepare good coffee.

Good value for money, "must visit" if you are around.

While we were there with my family the place was packed, with families with their kids, people with dogs, bikers in their bike gear - chaos, but managed chaos. A friendly and attentive staff (they have a huge number of workers), and a quick kitchen turned out food in a hurry. Wish I did not have so far to drive or I would have taken up the offer of craft beer on tap or a bottle of local wine. Reservations are recommended, and if you want to wind up on the deck you need to call way ahead. Food was good, and the salads in particular are excellent. Good lemonade too. Worth seeking out.
