We intended to go here just one night while in Metulla, but ended up go back again, it was such a perfect experience. Not the fanciest decor on the outside, but the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. One of the first course selections is a group of mezze or little salads, this is an excellent selection. Each comes in a nice ceramic bowl on a platter and they compliment eachother well. It also comes with grapeleaves and a type of cooked eggplant and bread on the side. Big enough for four people to share. For out main course my wife had the raviolli and rosa sauce which was excellent. Really a wonderful sauce, hard to explain, but addictive. I ordered the mussaka which showed a true attention to detail. Not overly oily (as in some places). It can also be ordered without cheese and comes with a side of baby baked potatoes. The second night I had the cannelloni special which was rich and filling, smothered in cheese and backed in a ceramic deep dish. This was an excellent choice. It is clear that most of the other food has a similar hearty flavor and taste. On Friday nights reservations are a must, and it doesn't hurt to reserve on thursday's either. The place is not cheap, we paid NIS 200 each night for two people just for the food. But it is worth it and make sure to choose the outdoor seating in summer. Perfect for couples.
