“Site of Miracle”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

A beautiful Church. The entry area is very pretty with pond and fish. The Mosaic of the Loaves and Fish is worth the visit. Church is not large, but glass windows are pretty. Of course this is a site they "think" Jesus did the miracle of the multiplication. If it was not here, it was nearby. Many churches along the shores of the Galilee and all worth the time. You are in the area that Jesus did most of His work and ministry.

“Beautiful Church”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

The Mosaic of the Loaves and Fishes at the church is worth seeing. It has a beautiful entry area with a small pond and explanation of the site. The church is not large, it has been renovated and has beautiful arches and windows. This is the location where they believe Jesus did the miracle of the multiplication. If it was not here then it was certainly nearby. The nice thing about the sites on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee is that they are all close together. Take a boat ride from Kibbutz Ginosaur to Capernaum. From there you can travel to the Church of the Primacy and Church of The Multiplication with out too much work.

“Skip the church and go to the city.”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

No one knows the site of the miracle of the feeding of the multitude, so just go to the city and see the considerable ruins of the ancient city that was the base of operations during much of Jesus' Galilean ministry. Some of it dates back to the 1st cent. and the synagogue was rebuilt on the site of the original. The ruins are a 5 star attraction, if you are into Biblical history.

Loved seeing the mosaic of the loaves & fishes; loved the other side of the floor with the Egyptian motif mosaic. Loved being in places where Jesus was!
