“Great ski in/ski out”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Amazing hotel, perfect for ski in and ski out! Even has a snow valet, hassle free and extremely convenient! The gondola is just a skip and a hop away and niseko village provided with lots of different levels of runs!
Breakfast was alright at the hotel, sometimes a queue in the morning but the variety lacks after a few days.
The onsen was the highlight, picturesque setting, just simply divine after a day on the slopes!
It's about 20min from hirafu, the main town, can be unite troublesome getting in town at night times if you don't time the shuttle service right! But none the less, a solid hotel and service.

Room Tip: If skiing, don't waste money on room with view! Closer to lifts will minimise the long walk aro...

We haven't stayed in the hotel itself, we were travelling in the area and got on Hilton shuttle bus that brought us to the hotel. The staff was really friendly and they suggested us to get to the onsen (hot spring pool) which was in very nice condition and had pretty view (there were hot spring pools both indoors and outdoors).
After the onsen we've had an awesome buffet dinner at the restaurant, the food was fresh and delicious, we really enjoyed the steak that came with the buffet.
There is a nice gift shop in the hotel, the free shuttle bus brought us to the train station and that finished our excellent experience with Hilton in Niseko.

Been here several times and every time the stay has been fantastic. Arguably the best hotel in the Niseko area. The staff are always ready to help in any way and they really know how to treat their guests well. If a hassle-free ski holiday is your main priority, go here and you won't be disappointed.

The hotel rooms themselves are of a lower standard than most 3-4 star properties we have stayed in in Japan. I disliked the bathroom sink being located in the bedroom.

The ski in ski out convenience is great and the gym was also good.

I would recommend that if you stay here you rent a car. Driving around is easier than expected, and it allows you to ski in the neighbouring resorts with ease.

The food was unacceptable. Due to the isolated location, you have no choice but to book breakfast as part of your package. I booked dinner also as a treat for my wife. The dinner buffet was a disgrace, with poor quality food and limited variety. A total waste of money. You are far better off driving to Kutchan (about 15 minutes) which has several restaurants that are far superior and much cheaper. Rather than looking forward to meals it became a case of 'not again'

I would recommend this hotel, but not the food, and I would suggest you rent a car to drive around the local area.

Room Tip: High floors have good views

we've been skiing a few years but definitely still beginners. the convenience of ski in ski out and gentle slopes at hilton niseko is perfect for us.
we're a family of four so the panorama quad room is perfect for us. the hotel does not have connecting rooms. I would have preferred the larger one-bedroom suite but for some reason that only accomodates 3.
lunchtime is busy and you would have to line up almost an hour at the japanese restaurant. alternatively you can go to the lobby for sandwiches or to the restaurant Melt where you would typically have your breakfast.
we came here for spring skiing during Easter so less people than Christmas or chinese new year but the long weekend break did bring lots of people from HK as well as locals.
we went back to dinner at the japanese restaurant and the set meal took half an hour to arrive.
I suggest though that housekeeping not only change the towels and sheets and take out the trash but also do a bit of wiping and dusting. we were there for a week and because the air was dry there was a fine layer of dust by day 3.
overall the slopes were less busy and more space for us to fall down. although snow was starting to melt a bit we still had fresh snow on 2 days.

The Hilton is an excellent place if you are just there to ski and are happy to eat in the hotel. They have several restaurants inside which are little pricey for what you get but convenient. The gondola is right outside the front door, though it is susceptible to closure in moderate winds. In which case you have to bus to Hirafu if you want to get further up the mountain. This is roughly 30 mins. You are spoilt for selection on what to eat in Hirafu, not so much in the Hilton. There is ski valet which saves lugging your gear up stairs and the onsen was great after skiing. They have a small convenience store inside as well. Staff were very helpful and polite. Don't do your washing there as its very pricey. The room was good size and had nice view of the HUGE amount of snow. All together it was a good place to stay for just skiing but Hirafu offers more affordable eating options

This is probably the best Hilton I have ever stayed at. Located in Niseko and part of the Niseko United area, the Hilton Niseko Village has its own ski-in ski-out facilities and shares its slopes with 2 other resorts, Hirafu and Annapuri, which are all in close proximity with each other and accessible either by a short bus ride or by ski slopes connected at the top of the mountain. There is a 4th slope, Hanazono, that is not part of Niseko United but just a short hop away to keep things interesting. Hirafu, the main resort town, is 10 mins by bus away and has lots of interesting small restaurants with lots of great fare on offer. It was sad to see however on a cold morning an elderly local man whose job is to clean the sidewalks spiking empty beer cans littering the pavements everywhere. Clearly poor manners by some visitors.

The rooms at the Hilton were tidy and clean and those that have a room facing Mt. Yotei offer the most gorgeous view of the volcano on a clear day. The rooms were reasonably sized and had plenty of space for your luggage but at the expense of a tiny bathroom which is standard for most Japanese hotels anyway. However the bathrooms were functional and always kept sparkling clean everyday. The only complaint I have about the room was the noisy refrigerator that emitted an irritating background hum which was annoying when sleeping.

The natural onsen is free for guests to use and includes both inside and outside baths. It faces Mt. Yotei so even if you can't spend a bit extra for the Mt. Yotei rooms you still get a stunning view of the volcano and the surrounding parks while relaxing in the hot onsen while the snow falls above your head. The Male/Female onsens are separate.

There is also a free ski valet in the hotel for your ski equipment and a small shop for basic amenities and snacks right in the hotel. WiFi is free in the lobby and the room has a cable connection which is an additional charge.

There might be a case for better value elsewhere when the hotel is charging at peak season rates but considering I obtained end of season rates combined with discounted lift rates meant for an unbeatable ski holiday deal at great value in a super hotel in a fabulous ski resort.

The Hilton Niseko Village is absolutely terrific!

Room Tip: Make sure to get the Niseko United all mountain pass to get free access to all of the slopes at Nise...
