We stayed with Mindfullness Group Managed by American Tour Travel in this hotel for 3 nights.
The bungalow is spaciuos with standard bath room but the bed quite comfortable. The interior is a bit dark coz they used red color. The room is clean. The staff are nice but difficult to call since their land is big and from one bungalow to another is a bit far especially to go to the main building where the staff standby. I am personally like the hotel.
The foods are standard like in the other hotel around Bhutan. You would appreciate the scenery that for sure.

We spent our first two nights in Bhutan at Olathang Hotel, Paro. I was travelling with a friend, we shared a cottage with a private room and bathroom for each of us, and a spacious living room between the two rooms : lovely place, traditional bhutanese style with a lot of wood, I really liked this atmosphere, although a bit dated and dark.
Our cottage didn't have a view, but was rather close to the main building, where the front desk, restaurant and bar are located.
You may need a flashlight to get back to your cottage in the evening. Food at restaurant is ok. Free wi-fi available only in the main building, as the cottages ar too far away.
We had a great 1h massage at the spa (run by another company), maybe a bit expensive.
This hotel is quite far away from Paro, you need to organize with your driver if you want to go to town fo dinner for example.

This hotel is in a nice location and the idea of the cottages is a good one, however, our cottage had numerous problems - lights not working, TV not working, window in the bathroom open and couldn't be closed (flying/biting insects in the room) and the close proximity to the footpath meant that the curtains had to be closed almost all the time, thus making it very dark and dingy. So, having asked to be moved we were put in a room in the basement of the main hotel which was equally, if not more, unpleasant. The only good things about it were that all electrical things worked and there was a window to let some light in. The bathroom was disgraceful, everything leaked - the toilet, the handbasin and the shower all dripped water constantly and the ceiling was black in places with mould. Fortunately, we were only here for two nights - I couldn't have stood any more!

The dinner and breakfast buffets were very limited and I would say the service from the reception staff was surly and unfriendly.

Stayed for 2 nyts in March 2014 at a Deluxe Cottage in Olathang.
Very hospitable staff, lovely tea snacks (cheese sticks). Highlight is the traditional cottage stay on the mountain secluded and peaceful. We got everything we asked for.
Food was average, one needs to be careful on selection as most taste caters to western tourists, We had no complains.

Room Tip: Go for the cottage rooms, very spacious and private.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. We had a cottage that was a short walk from the main building, overlooking rice paddy fields in the valley below. The property is lovely and well designed, and a great place to relax. The room was spacious and warm, with a lovely sit-out attached. The furniture was a bit dated, and could be upgraded to enhance the experience further. The restaurant staff were particularly helpful, and were always offering to customize things for us. The buffet meals were the best we had in hotels of this category in Bhutan, and there was a reasonable variety available, though it stuck to the Bhutan hotel food model - Bhutanese, Indian and Chinese cuisine all mixed together. I would go here again if I came back to Paro.

Excellent hotel in a huge valley. Huge rooms with all modern facilities inside. Beds are very comfortable. Foods are comparatively better than other choice of hotels. Staffs are very courteous. I tried all types of rooms in my each visit at Paro like standard or Deluxe cottages, Suite rooms and all time find good qualities and service.
