After a week travelling through Bhutan we decided to go out with a bang. And we were not disappointed. It's important to put dining in Bhutan in the context of a country with no real food culture, with problematic availability of ingredients and high costs of transportation. In this respect Bhukari at Uma did a pretty amazing job. We started with scallops (slightly undercooked, which is better than overcooked) on a creative variant of angel hair pasta. Followed by thick slices of black angus with mushroom and pomme gratin. The home made ice cream (especially the peach variant) made for a great dessert. Service is impeccable (and that's definitely not the standard in Bhutan). Do bring your credit cards as good dining comes at a price.
