Stayed there for 2 nights and very happy. The room is clean, big and spacious. The scenery of Paro valley from the windows is beatable. You can enjoy the view from your bath tub also. I visited in winter, all room are heated include toilet. The food are very nice, kudos to great Thai chef that worked there (we can't bare any more Bhutanese food after few days in country). The cons may go to bad internet connection and location is far from the city uphill. There is also a spa which I didn't use but info from my friend, it was average.

The Haven is a new, Zen-like resort in the hills above Paro. My wife and I stayed here at the end of our visit to Bhutan. It was undoubtedly the best room on our 19-day trip, and among the nicest accommodations we have ever had. It is Thai owned and built, and this shows throughout in the stylish attention to detail, and particularly in the restaurant which had some of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. This is both a feature and flaw – it is hardly an authentic Bhutanese experience, but we stayed here at the end of our 3- week trip and it was a welcome change – particularly the food.

Our room was very large and attractively furnished in a minimalist Zen style with many clever decorative touches – for example the closet had a pass-through to the bathroom. The king size bed was firm and very comfortable, with a beautiful built-in headboard and night stands. The room had a separate connected sitting area with reclining mats that looked out over the countryside. In the bedroom area there was a small bamboo couch in front of a large flat screen t.v. and a desk along one wall.

The bathroom was large, tastefully decorated, rich with amenities, and had a rain shower enclosure with a pebble floor and a separate tub. Very stylish.

The dining room was a soaring multi-story area with more intimate side areas. It had beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding country.

All in all it is hard to fault the Haven for comfort and style. If you stayed here at the beginning or end of your tour of Bhutan it would provide a nice transition. There are other upscale places around Paro that might be more Bhutanese in style and atmosphere, but they aren’t likely to be more agreeable.
