“Love this little cafe!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

The local Paro-ites are keeping this place as a secret, but everyone should know about it!
Tucked away in a small alley, Tshernyoen makes delicious cakes and snacks and the atmosphere is homey and warm. The owner is a friendly lady and she is always happy to strike up a conversation.

It's one of those places that is great to go back to, I wish I could visit daily. You can also order party cakes - the chocolate one is to-die-for. The only caveat: it's impossible for us Westerners to pronounce the name of this terrific place!

“Cute cafe with great cakes”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

We saw this tiny cafe mentioned in the Lonely Planet & dropped in for afternoon tea after a day of sightseeing & souvenir shopping in Paro. We liked it so much that we asked our guide to take us back again the following afternoon.

Decor is simple & homely with wicker chairs & tables. They serve mugs of coffee (filter or instant) and a range of teas - plus a selection of delicious cakes. We sampled the peach cake (a stand-out favourite), the carrot cake with lemon glaze (a close second), chocolate cake with vanilla frosting & tiramisu cake (chocolate cake with coffee frosting).

Good value, friendly service & delicious homemade cakes.
