“Decent tea and a great al fresco view”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

They served a relatively decent cup of tea (I usually like mine strong and most of Bhutan tea is meek and mild.) and have a nice sitting area outside to stare at the far-off Taktsang temple. The food is decent too after you've eaten all the buffet meals the tour package offers you.

“Taktsang Cafeteria --- Very Good!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

I recently returned home in California from my trip to Bhutan. My tour guide made a reservation in this restaurant which is very close to the Tiger's Nest in Paro. It was the best decision to have lunch here after a strenuous 1 1/5 hike (one way) to the Tiger's Nest Monastery. It is conveniently located close to the cliff where the monastery is located. Food are a variety of Bhutanese foods and beverages. It's a buffer lunch. There is a clean restroom facility. Outside is a viewing area of the stunning Tiger's Nest.

I recommend this cafeteria if you will hike to the Tiger's Nest in Paro.

“Great Spot for hot tea and enjoy the peaceful place”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

Most travelers forget to mention this spot but its a great place to take a break, especially if you have children. the air is crisp and the prayer bell in the background just makes this a great place to stop for a few.

“Good food after the hike”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

We were pretty reluctant to have the buffet set food initially at the cafe after trying buffet everywhere else.
But, it by far was the best buffet Bhutanese fare ever. The location of the cafeteria with the amazing view of the monastery is mindblowing. The cafe is located half way up the mountain to Taktsang monastery.
The food was good and they kept on making sure it is hot and refilled all the time. Donot miss it on the way back from your hike.,
