The room we stayed in was nice, but the whole operation is set up to receive large tour groups, feed them, house them for a night, and then make sure they get on their way early next morning. Contrary to what the website suggests, there are no walking trails from the hotel and the promised archery wasn't possible either as the bow was broken.

This hotel is meant to be a place to sleep, not a place to experience. So, if all you're after is a night's kip, then Naksel is fine. But then you can probably find places that will charge you much less for a room with a bed.

And, just to be fair, the views are of course good.

Very nice place to stay. It's far from the city & very quiet place. Very large rooms, centrally heated for comfort.
Good food during breakfast & dinner. Friendly and Hospitable staff too. They accept credit cards.

This hotel is way at the top of a valley, which gives it nice views of the mountains and even of Tiger's Nest, but it was a bit of an ordeal to get up to it whenever we were returning. Also--it is a climb from the dining facilities and lobby up to the buildings where the rooms are, which in a way was a good acclimatization for our later hike to the Tiger's Nest monastery. Beautiful grounds and beautiful rooms. A lovely setting.

I just wasn’t a fan. Perhaps the spa services a great and that’s why this is four star? My room was under the hotel, the view was spectacular and the building is lovelyj! But the hallway was dark and dirty, the room had a lot of unfinished plywood. The breakfasts were not very good _ raw pancakes, over salted eggs. Don’t think it’s worth it for the price

This for us was kind of a good news bad news place. Lets start off with the good. Food (although Buffet) and service were excellent. The view from our room was outstanding. No complaints here. Now the bad. The room although large was in need of some repair with the woodwork, doors not quite fitting properly etc and no where to plug in the coffee machine. However the biggest negative observation we had was the WIFI quality which was abysmal. In this day and age it should be better and was better elsewhere in Bhutan
