Excellent coffee, awesome pastry and cake. Unbelievable that you will find such Western coffee shop in downtown Paro. Downside is it is filled with foreign tourists. Price is a bit lower than in US, but the ambiance is much better :-)))

Hello everyone.
Mountain cafe is heart of the Paro town. Atmosphere is excellent and staffs and owner are friendly. Hospitality are excellent like a five stars hotel. No words to say about foods and desert. They served fresh vegetables from their own garden. Whenever I come to Paro with friends, family and my guest. I prefer to visit Mountain cafe only.
Internet facility are available (free WiFi). Even we can use our credit card also. If you visiting to Paro. Please don't forget to visit Mountain cafe and give your tougue new test from there. Price are reasonable than other cafe.
Thank you for your hospitality once more.
Don't miss the chance guys.

Mountain cafe was my first stop after arriving in Paro. I saw their ad in Drukair In-flight magazine which made me more curious to check this place out and I was not disappointed. I didn’t even know that the owner of this cafe is the same person who owns Bokar Travel Agency who helped me booked my wonderful trip in Bhutan.

This place is clean and cozy. The have comfortable couch to sit and relax while dining. The place gets busy and packed in the afternoon but luckily I didnt have to wait to be seated since I was traveling solo. The servers are nice and friendly. They also have free wifi😀

They serve variety of foods from soups, salads, pizza, pasta, desserts and pastries. I loved their Margherita pizza. Their black forest cake was good too. Karma Chime, the owner also offered me free Red Panda beer which is a must try if you would like to taste a local beer. They also sell local coffee beans. I also found out from Mr. Chime that he is putting up a second branch in Paro which is exciting.

Overall, I believe visiting Paro won’t be complete without dining in Mountain Cafe. I highly recommend that you check this place out when in Paro. You will not be disappointed. I also think their menu is reasonably priced.

Thank you, Mr. Karma Chime for your hospitality.
