Mountain cafe was my first stop after arriving in Paro. I saw their ad in Drukair In-flight magazine which made me more curious to check this place out and I was not disappointed. I didn’t even know that the owner of this cafe is the same person who owns Bokar Travel Agency who helped me booked my wonderful trip in Bhutan.
This place is clean and cozy. The have comfortable couch to sit and relax while dining. The place gets busy and packed in the afternoon but luckily I didnt have to wait to be seated since I was traveling solo. The servers are nice and friendly. They also have free wifi😀
They serve variety of foods from soups, salads, pizza, pasta, desserts and pastries. I loved their Margherita pizza. Their black forest cake was good too. Karma Chime, the owner also offered me free Red Panda beer which is a must try if you would like to taste a local beer. They also sell local coffee beans. I also found out from Mr. Chime that he is putting up a second branch in Paro which is exciting.
Overall, I believe visiting Paro won’t be complete without dining in Mountain Cafe. I highly recommend that you check this place out when in Paro. You will not be disappointed. I also think their menu is reasonably priced.
Thank you, Mr. Karma Chime for your hospitality.
