Went to stay in the Santa Clara area to see the fire works with my daughter for the 4th of July. Our room was everything positive that everyone else has said about them, only wished we had more time to use the workout room and pool. Overall a very good experience

Recently enjoyed a 5 night stay in this well-maintained hotel.
Although it obviously is older, it has that comfortable, inviting feel that is usually found in more expensive facilities.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was adequate--seating, was, however, very limited and resulted in a line and wait in the lobby.
I would recommend this hotel for any travelers; it is family-friendly.
My only complaint was the strange TV access--the channel posted didn't always match what we got, and we could not always access common stations such as area network news.
I look forward to staying here again when in the area.

Loved the Pruneyard Plaza hotel. Nice, clean hotel in a great location. It is in the same strip mall as a Trader Joe's and several restaurants and coffee shops. Very convenient if you're here for work. If you want to venture outside the strip mall, there are a ton of other places at walking distance as well - including a Whole Foods.

The hotel is right by a running/biking trail as well. If you have some free time, walk to Campbell downtown - nice little town with shops and restaurants.

The only downside is that the breakfast is terrible - but there are so many places in the same complex to get food.

Love this property, great for business travel. Nice and clean, updated decor, good beds, furniture and bath products. Nice pool and adequate exercise room. Super free "continental" breakfast (more than your usual offerings, eggs, etc.) Attached to nice, small walking mall, easy to eat and shop - nice to have Trader Joe's to stock up on water, wine and beer, etc. - movie theatre adjacent, an atypical amount of stuff around the property. Key thing, as has been reported by travelers, the quality really depends on the room you get - I have had three layers of quality the three extended stays I have had here - try to avoid the first floor rooms (the odd #'d 140's + the 160's for sure) as they are facing the loud parking lot, (even though choice air conditioners with a 'CONTINUOUS FAN" option drown it out - that's enough for me an travelers I know to book hands down!!)

Would stay again, and recommend to anyone!

I've stayed here a number of times and the quality of the hotel and its rooms has always been high. This time, ours was very comfortable and well appointed. It was definitely up to scratch!

The only thing to watch out for: don't get a room that open out onto the swimming pool area as people tend to sit out late and talk loudly there. And, for some reason, they like to shout their conversations when they come back late. And be especially worried if your room is right by the vending machine.

Enjoyed 10 days here from UK - excellent location for exploring the area. Clean, good sized & well maintained rooms and airy public rooms. Extremely helpful staff, filling & tasty inclusive continental breakfast. Close to small Mall for some informal any time restaurants and easy access to Los Gatos with its more upmarket/ boutique shops and restaurants. King size bed in my room was very comfortable and there were easy chairs, plenty of cupboard and hanging space and separate basin from bathroom/ shower/ WC.
Would recommend for tourists, business and family stays. Small hotel pool provides some fun as does nearby Mall ice cream parlour, family burger and Italian themed restaurants and small cinema complex. Area well served by banks and a provisions store.

Room Tip: Aim for first or second floor rooms overlooking courtyard or Mall. Those on ground floor nr car park...

This is a great location with lots of restaurants within steps of the hotel. My room was very nice and included a fireplace and a whirlpool tub. The tub was a little hard to get in and out of and is only for the most able bodied person. I would not spend the extra money on that if i had to do it over again. The bed features a pillow top and my experience with pillow tops is that they get permanent indentations very quickly. So needless to say the bed was not comfortable and i ended up with a backache all week long. At the end of the week i went to Plaza Suites in Santa Clara and that room was much much nicer AND had better coffee in the room AND was cheaper. The staff at Pruneyard was really great.

Room Tip: The whirlpool tub is not worth the extra money.
