I traveled to Cambria for the first time in May 2019. I traveled up by train from San Diego, but had to Uber the last 30 minutes from San Luis Obisbo to Cambria. The train ride was wonderful! Cambria Pines Lodge was beautiful andand gardens were georgeous. I was there on a Thursday night and the soloist-12 string guitar player was worth spending the evening lustening to. There is a 257 step path theough a forrested area that is steep and not good for everyone to try, but it was a beautiful hike to the Village of Cambria. I walked the 3 miles to Moonstone Beach but you can also drive there. I spent a quiet afternoon walking the beach and visiting several arts and crafts galleries. I could have easily spent more time discovering the arts. I had a delightful day and wished I had planned more time to stay.

Excellent stay! Definitely recommend. The location is great! Staff is friendly. They have everything from gardens to walk through. Live entertainment, and a restaurant to eat at. Felt relaxed and peaceful for our honeymoon

A quaint environment with beautiful gardens to walk through. We only ate breakfast here and it was not of a good standard. The fireside lounge was barely lit in the morning, which meant it wasn’t very inviting. Everything else was quite lovely.
