Cambria is a second or third love. As it is the holidays, the lodge is said to have 1,000,000 holidays lights throughout the very well manicured property. The rest of the town looks like a Thomas Kincade painting!

We enjoyed our time at cambria pines lodge. We had been there 20years ago, and again 15years ago. We had wanted to go back. We had a nice clean room. Was decorated for Christmas, and we loved the lights. Wish we would have gone on the weekend to see the Christmas Fair. We hope to bring the whole family this summer, kids Grandkids and us.

We took advantage of a Travel Zoo promotional offer. The grounds were delightful- especially around this time of year (end of November). There were beautiful holiday lights and some vendors on the weekends. We had a suite, pet friendly room. It was adequate, the bed was comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars is it was a little outdated. Chairs in the bedroom were uncomfortable. Quaint place nestled in the hill just above Cambria. Breakfast was included (I didn't know that- very nice surprise) and was very good. We had a dinner included and it was excellent and there were sufficient choices. It even included a bottle of wine!

Room Tip: A suite gives you a little more room- we didn't experience any noise (however, there was no one above us).

We have stayed here three times using promotional offers. The restaurant is terrific and they grow lots of their own produce on site. Try the excellent prime rib dinner or breakfast buffet. The grounds are very relaxing and gardens are lush. The Inn is convenient to Carmel 17 mile drive, elephant seal beach, Hearst Castle, but my fav is the Nit Wit Ridge tour that I liked more than the opulent castle. The twisted construction at Nit Wit Ridge is a unique experience.

We just got back from our first visit to the Lodge. The grounds were beautiful and decorated with a lot of amazing holiday lights. The pool/hot tub was fine and the daily breakfast was good but the room was way less than adequate. We found it difficult to sleep because the walls were paper thin, there was no temperature controlled furnace so the room was extremely hot which was suffocating or we had to have the window open therefore we were freezing. The beds were comfortable but only had one thin blanket on it. It also took at least 10 minutes of running water to get warm water. We asked to see other suites and the newer ones were much nicer. Unfortunately we felt a bit ripped off since we were looking to get some r&r but just came home tired due to lack of sleep. If you do decide to go ask for newer rooms.

Room Tip: ask for newer rooms.
