We decided to drive down the central CA coast after our daughter's San Jose wedding. Our first stop was Cambria. After the very winding trip down Hwy. 1, we were definitely ready for our oceanfront room. Cambria Landing is really well maintained. They delivered a continental breakfast to our room each morning along with a pot of fresh brewed coffee. The staff was very helpful in making recommendations for dining. We needed some help with luggage as we are both disabled. They were very accommodating. Our room was very clean and freshly painted. The properties along Moonstone Beach are older adding a quaint charm that isn't necessarily found in major hotel chains. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ocean front is definitely worth the bit of extra paid. We were on the 2nd. floor and even during the heat wave the breeze off the blue pacific kept us very comfortable.

Arriving on a Sunday afternoon, the check-in was speedy and efficient with Mike, who was friendly and professional. In the large and well-appointed Tradidional King room (#208) we were delighted to find that we had a partial sea view, visible from my side of the bed! As to the wifi, it turns out that several re-boots were required before Mike was able to provide service. He stayed with it until he prevailed!
The King sleigh bed was amazingly comfortable, with comfy pillows, and lovely bed linens. The room was clean, although the toilet could stand some mineral deposit cleaner (CLR.) Our windows opened to the surf sounds which lulled us to sleep each night. The weather was temperate, so no fire was required.
Breakfast was hand-delivered at the prescheduled time on wooden trays with good coffee (both reg and decaf, as requested.) Included were bowls of fruit (bananas and oranges) as well as two small muffins, different each day and two small glasses of orange juice-all fresh and good. Not gourmet by any means, but adequate. The location on Moonstone Beach was perfect. A good value @ $111+ per night.

Stayed in 301B which has an ocean view as does 301A. Some of the other rooms are a little farther from the ocean. Nice fireplace and jacuzi tub in room. About a mile and half from downtown Cambria. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Could listen to the surf as the ocean and beach are just across a narrow road. Great boardwalk and easy beach access. Continental breakfast brought to the room. Only minor complaint is muffins could have been of better size and quality.

Room Tip: Ask for 301 A or B to be closest to the ocean.

I have to give a big thumbs up to Mike the owner and staff, we had a few glitches when we checked in, but Mike went over and above making it right. And that's all you can ask for. The Ocean is right across the street with a great walking path either north or south. Great restaurants on either end of Moonstone Beach Dr. We loved our time at the Hearst Castle and other places in the Area.

Like all the other places to stay in the area, the Inn is not brand new, but has weathered well, and Mike and his staff keep it up well.

The Jacuzzi in the room was fantastic. Definitely recommend one of the rooms with the Jacuzzi.

Enjoy!

Room Tip: Go for cabins A, B, And C as your top choices. Cheers!

We usually stay at a different hotel on Moonstone Beach, but gave this one a try. They have been under new ownership for a month and the new owners are trying to adjust to the reservation system when people go through Expedia or hotels.com. The room we thought we reserved was given away. Breakfast is delivered to your door, but it is not much. Each person that checked out had a complaint about something. The person at the front desk didn't really say too much about the complaints, but rather told the guests about possible future plans/renovations.
