This restaurant does not take reservations and is very busy when it first opens around 5.30 p.m.
We arrived around 7.45, allowing time for the early diners to finish and depart and only had a very short wait in the little bar area where it is pleasant to have a pre-dinner drink. There is an outside patio which is popular for watching the sun set plus two dining areas inside; the nicest one is at the front of the restaurant, the one at the side is a little gloomy. We requested a table in the front dining area and were seated at a table beside the windows overlooking the outdoor area but on a windy night in mid October found it a little draughty. We asked if we could move to one of the booths in this area and the owner/manager? came immediately and organised this as soon as a booth became available; he also checked back later to ensure we were happy. Portions are large - we shared a starter and asked for a break for around 15 minutes before the main course and our waiter organised the timing perfectly. Excellent sea food and good wine, attentive friendly service and an owner/manager who cared about his customers . A really enjoyable evening and we would certainly go here again if visiting Cambria .
