Our innkeeper booked us somewhere else for dinner but we didn't like the menu so we found this through Trip Advisor. We had an incredible dinner of pork belly, abalone, steel head trout and duck breast. Beautifully prepared with great service by a friendly and knowledgable staff. Great recommendation on a bottle of local wine. Highly recommend.

Seriously. You must go to this restaurant. The staff are attentive, the beer/wine is local and delicious and the food, the superlative examples of everything you've ever tasted.

The food was great. The wait staff very friendly. The wine selection by the glass was local. The atmosphere was very pleasant. A great experience all around.

The decor and ambiance are cozy, but this wasn't the upscale experience we'd expected.

The service was ok, but a bit absent-minded. It felt as though they were understaffed for a summer weekend.

The food was good, but nothing to rave about. I had the rabbit, which wasn't quite as good as my husband's steak. The appetizer's were more impressive than the entrees.

By and large not a bad meal, but not what we'd hoped. We'd go elsewhere on a return visit.

We try to eat here twice a year on our Cambria visits, The polenta is to die for and my wife has enjoyed the seasonal fish dishes (sea bass, tuna, etc.). They all have been consistently outstanding. The fresh tomato soup was terrific (so fresh) and the seared salad just popped! The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Service was not as good as past years and this could be due to a new waitress (it was over her head). Also, the wine list was cut down. If the food is five stars in taste and quality, and no big services issues, I give the restaurant five stars. And, I don't given many of these (check my history).
