“Happy to return”
Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

After 10+ years we returned and were so happy to find that little has changed. (Except I think the Chef now is the owner).

We love the woody interior and the cozy fire-lit front room and were delighted with a window table.

They had 1/2 bottles of Rombaurer Chardonnay with went well with with my hubby's Chicken & Dumplings. I ordered the Pork Rib Chop but requested the Ollallieberry Chutney instead of the Bourbon sauce. The portions were large and the waitstaff were warm & attentive. We plan to return sooner.

“Warm, inviting, and delicious”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

This little place is consistently good. The food, especially their coffee rubbed steak, lobster pot pie, and flowerpot bread, is spot on. The service is attentive, and it's not snobby at all - it's a homey place with kitschy little pig knickknacks. We came here for New Years Eve and were happy and received the same friendly service as always. In the winter, tables by the windows are a bit chilly, but there's a fireplace too. It has become our go-to dinner place when we need good food and nice surroundings. It's right on Main St., near the post office. You won't be disappointed!

“Great New Year's Eve dinner!”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

My husband and I were in Cambria for the holiday and chose The Sow's Ear for our New Year's Eve celebration dinner. It was very festive with lots of decorations, hats etc. that set the stage for a lovely evening. Even though it was extremely busy, we felt as if the service was excellent, food was delicious and the complimentary champagne was a very nice touch......I had the pork tenderloin and my husband had the filet with Lobster; both were more than generous portions and yummy. We shared the mud pie for dessert and also enjoyed that special treat. At the end of the meal, we felt as if we were being rushed out the door, but when we saw the large number of people waiting in line to begin their holiday dinner celebration, we really didn't mind. Normally, we don't even go out on New Year's Eve; however, this year, since we were on vacation, we opted to do that and The Sow's Ear was a perfect choice.

“Loved the early bird meals”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

Early bird meal are lower in price, smaller portions but still plenty to eat. The baby back ribs were as good as you can get. The calamari dinner was also tops. Nice dinner salad and the bread in a flower pot was different and very good.

“Very nice Restaurant”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

This restaurant was completely full every time we passed by. The ambiance was very nice just the right lighting for dinner. The service was really good. My girlfriend had the turkey dinner and I had one of the beef dishes. The food was great and the portions were large. As for the dessert, we had their wonderful cheese cake. All in all it was a great experience. I recommend this place
