Fun place to stop by for an hour and get a few beer before dinner!
The beers weren't awesome - only 2 or 3 that we liked. But still a nice atmosphere.

5 tastings for $7.

No frills, but friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was introduced to Black's Dawn Ale - one if the many micro brews that rotate though the taps. Don't go if you are looking for elegance - but if you are looking for good beer - its a must stop!

We stopped by this little Ale House after a long drive from Southern California on a Friday afternoon. This place is awesome! Very small and quirky and oh so cool!!! And the beer selection is fantastic. They are constantly changing their beers as evidenced by the hundreds of taps on the shelf near the bar. And with a sign out front that says, "Cambria Ale House - Husband DayCare", who can resist. They sell pint glasses with the slogan on them...had to buy one because it was so cute. Great local band was playing as well. We really enjoyed this place and will be back again!

It is an ale house with a few snacks. The real draw is the huge selection of beers, nice wine selection and the owner/manager, Chris. Friendly but not in your face. There are a couple of sofas, a TV and several small bar tables. As in England, one orders at the bar and finds a place to enjoy your drink. The whimsical signs outside read: " Men's Daycare" and "Ladies Retreat".
There is live music on several nights, and you can walk to Indigo Moon, Black Cat, Robin's or any of the East Village restaurants. as well as to Bluebird Inn (charming and clean) and all the other East Village motels and B&B's.

It is a relatively new place but already a firm favorite with the locals.

We were having a good time here until the bill arrived. This place is more expensive than Vegas! Make sure you pay for your drinks as you go so you know what they will sting you for!
