This boardwalk meanders down a pathway which is easily accessible either walking, using a stroller or wheelchair. Easy access down to Moonstone beach to collect sea glass and moonstones. Love to walk the area at sunset and listen to the waves. Have stayed in three hotels so far and loved them all. Going back for a second stay at the end of strip in the pines lodge. Very nice and relaxing and quiet, wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle and noise, this is the area to stay.

Stroll on Moonstone beach and enjoy the sunset- amazing views. Next day, get up early and to the Fiscalini Ranch Reserve for a stroll- just like the locals do. Very nice - saw some sea lions and many many birds.

Ask the locals how to get there or google it.

Walk the wooden trail and meander onto the beach to see the tidepools and wildlife. You may even be lucky enough to see a sealion, whale or otter family. The view of the Pacific at sundown is magnificient.

A true gem,

My husband and I decided to plan a trip to Monterey bay, ca with our two 8yr olds. After researching other cities in the area, we noticed this city called Cambria and decided, since the drive would be vary far, to stay one night in Cambria. as we drive into cambria we spotted a lot of shops and resturants along the ocean side, a place called Moonstone Drive. As I layed my eyes on the area i immediatly fell in love. Moonstone has so many Hotels, inns, motels and resorts to chose from that and you cant go wrong with any of them because they are all across the street from the ocean! The view is absoulutly breath taking. I still remember the look in our childrens eyes when they first spotted Moonstone Drive, a look of excitment and happinesse. We walked along a path over looking the ocean, we where able to climb down to the beach. The most exciting thing for us where the sea lions. We where able to climb on these beautiful rocks and where about 15 feet away from the sea lions! We spent the day with our children picking sea shells and sea rocks , which the children love to collect. After spending the whole day , walking along the beach, dinning , shopping ect... we forgot that we where only their for the night because our vacation was planned for Monterey. So, we decided that on our way back from Monterey to stay in Moonstone Drive again. And, to come back next summer and the next and the next....
