we arrived to the hotel for only one night.
the place is magical and very romantic.
we ordered via hotels.com room with limited view and got a wounderfull room on the ground floor.
it didn't face the ocean but we have been able to see a little piece of it and only from the side , but the room was big , graet luxurious beds and a fire place.
in the morning the breakfest was great.
we recommand this place very much.
the only bad thing that is important to mention in order not to be surprised is the 'weak stream bath

We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We have many guests, such as yourself, that express to us what a romantic stay they had here. It's nice to know you appreciated the recent upgrades we made to our bedding. Due to the area water shortage, Cambria tends to have low flow water usage. Thank you for choosing Little Sur Inn

This was an outstanding stay!

Check in: we arrived very late (had driven from San Fran to immediately do a night tour of Hearst Castle). The office was closed when we arrived, but a key and check-in information was waiting for us taped to the door. This was great because we did not have to call a number, wait for someone to arrive, etc.

Room: the room was wonderful! It was very large, had a king bed, fireplace, bay window with a view to the sea, and large bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and clean. This room was the best part of our travels on the trip. We would definately stay here again (and again). It was quiet in this area - and you could actually hear the waves of the sea during the night.

Breakfast: not much to talk about here. If you are looking to fill up, this won't be the place to do it. But the pasteries were super-fresh from a local pastry shop. They were three-bite sized, so I felt like a pig getting several to eat (and then getting seconds). I honestly could have eaten twice the amount that I had, and only then gotten full, but the manager only put a few out at a time on small plates on the buffet area, so it felt odd to take 10 3-bite pasteries...

Location: you can walk across the street to a boarwalk area that is on on top of the sea (you can also walk down to sea level). Great views, big waves, lots of people surfing in the morning. Convenient to Hearst Castle, which was nice.

Room Tip: The rooms closer to the sea would have the best view and would also be further from the "breakf...

It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and that you appreciated the quality of our property. As you mentioned, the pastries for breakfast are delicious, delivered here daily by a local bakery. We do, however, offer a wide array of other items, inlcuding cinnamon raisin bread (our guests' favorite), wheat bread, bagels and cream cheese, english muffins, hot and cold cereal, yogurt and orange juice. Thank you for staying with us and for sharing your experience.

We came upon this hotel while setting off to drive from LA to San Francisco and liked the area and the hotel so much that we didnt get any further! The location was fabulous. We had a side room because it was half the price of a full view of the ocean one but still had a great view and the room itself was stunning with a gas log effect fire and loads of space.
The sunsets across the bay were amazing and we fell in love with this particular part of the pacific coast.
We were provided with a large choice of snacks from 4-6pm and a good breakfast all within the price.
We would definately consider staying here again and would heartedly recommend it to others.

It is only fair that I tell the truth about this place even though I would love to keep it a nice little secret. My husband and I spent a week here at the end of the summer. It was like a little piece of heaven. The views are amazing, the room large and comfortable, and the staff is very nice. They have a darling little breakfast offering which is a step above continental. We have stayed in several hotels in Cambria, and will definately come back to this one!

I arrived here just as the sun was setting into the Pacific Ocean, which is on the other side of the road from the Inn.
I stayed here for the night before driving six miles up the coast the next morning to see the Hearst Castle at San Simeon.
My room was large and comfortably furnished and I left the window open so that I could hear the waves breaking on the beach about 50 yards from where I was in bed.
A continental breakfast is included and includes juice, coffee, cereals and pastries.
There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the Little Sur and overlooking the ocean; but the main street of Cambria is a very short drive away.

Nice hotel. Not too big, but a nice quiet place. Breakfast wasn't much, but it's good for coffee or tea. Free parking.
Cambria and San Simeon are nice places to visit. There are some nice restaurants all over the place. It's a great place to spend a couple of nights on your way to the north or south.

Don't tell anyone about this place. I've only stayed in the ocean facing rooms. I won't tell you my favorite one though. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean. The inn is clean and well taken care of. Staff is nice and helpful. We have stayed at many places on Moonstone, but settled on this one, and now only stay there. We try to make it up there about three times a year, always choosing Little Sur. Oh yeah, really comfy beds too.
