We stayed here for 2 nights in May. The room was really comfortable, the breakfasts were great and the afternoon snacks were very welcome! We loved Cambria and Moonstone Beach and this location was perfect. The staff on reception could have been a little more friendly but the hotel was lovely.

This Inn has a beautiful view (make sure to request one of the beachfront facing rooms). It is clean, unpretentious and situated directly across the street from the coast. Adjacent to their parking lot is a very nice seafood restaurant with great service and a short drive to the east side of Hwy 101 will get you into downtown Cambria.

The room was plenty spacious for our family of four and the location was perfect for our Hearst Castle visit early the next morning.

Room Tip: Request one of the rooms facing the water!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the "Little Sur Inn" for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and had a view of the ocean. There is beach access across the street. The weather was inconsistent (some fog and high winds seemed to come and go). I guess it was the "June gloom" effect. Regardless, we had a very good and serene time. It was nice to be able to walk on a beach with hardly anyone there. You don't have that in Southern California. Moonstone Beach, where the hotel is located is very picturesque and peaceful. It is not really a swimming beach with soft white sand, but that was not why we went to Cambria. Cambria is a very picturesque town with quaint shops and restaurants. Restaurants are very hit and miss. One night we tried a place called "Robins". The prices were a little high. My girlfriend ordered a dish with beef and I ordered Salmon. They were both about $27-$30 each. I don't mind paying this much if it is good quality food that is well prepared. They were both tasty, but the serving size was minuscule. My salmon was basically four bites. It must have been about 2 ounces of food. My girlfriend's meal consisted of 3 razor thin slices of meat. The next night we dined at the Sea Chest, which is next door to the Little Sur Inn. For the same money we paid at Robins we got a healthy serving of Halibut and Sea Bass. The meal was delicious and very satisfying. The staff was very engaging and we enjoyed our meal very much. There was also a great view of the ocean. On another we had lunch at the Cambria Pines Lodge. We enjoyed a fantastic salad bar for a very reasonable price. The hotel is situated in the middle of a lot of pine trees and has some beautiful gardens to explore and enjoy. The Little Sur Inn was a very quiet and extremely clean place. The continental breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful, especially Tara. She came to our room because we were having some trouble with the Television and dvd player and the connections. A cable had disconnected and I felt kind of dumb to ask for help for such a simple fix. She was very understanding and reassured me that it was good that I had called for help and not tried to fix it myself. Overall, I would recommend "The Little Sur Inn". I had researched other hotels on Moonstone Beach and the price was lower than all the others. You will get the best rate if you book onlines. The king bed was very comfortable and we slept well all three nights.

Room Tip: We had room 23. It was towards the front of the hotel. The closer to the front, the better the view...

We are in a road trip with my family (my husband and our two teenager boys). We took highway 1 from Sacramento. I have researched what city is the most recommended place to stop over going south and Cambria seemed to be the one on the top list. We stayed there for 2 days and we love the city. It is very relaxing! Wow! And the hotel that we stayed in Little Sur Inn is so perfect because it is located by Moonstone Beach. My husband and I did the evening walk and watched the sunset! The place is so clean. We stayed in Rm 16 and it is a partial ocean view. Moonstone Beach bar and grill is just a walking distance from the hotel.. It's also great to have dinner with your loved ones there. We definitely would love to go back in Cambria and stay at this hotel again!!!

The Little Sur Inn was clean, quiet and a nice location. We had a room with a corner window that had a pretty good view of the ocean. The beach access was right across the street. The room was very plain and could have used a touch of color to add some ambience. All in all, no complaints but it was a little pricey for just an average room.... but guess for being right across from the beach the high cost would be expected. The continental breakfast was tastier than what the chain hotels offer. If you need a clean place in a decent area this is a good choice.

Room Tip: They have ocean view rooms in the front which cost more, but we thought the view (partial) from our...

This was an excellent stay. A cosy, friendly, relaxed inn on the ocean front. The room was large but felt homely, with a table large enough to use and a working gas fire linked to the room thermostat. Comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Sadly this was a one night stop for us, but I would recommend it to anyone.

The wife and I had completed a cruise to Vancouver B.C. and decided we would do a casual "road trip" back home to southern Ca. We stopped by the Little Sur Inn on our final night away and were please to find a room still available seeing how Memorial Weekend was just a day away. We absolutely loved this place! Clean, cozy, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, we didn't get a "balcony" and the view was still good. The best thing was the Fireplace in the room, that was a real nice touch. The staff was friendly and we found their rates VERY REASONABLE.......We paid only $125 for our one nights stay.....where else can you get a clean, ocean view room for that price.?! We will definitely stay there again.
P.S. on another note, the Seafood Restaurant next door was very good but but kinda expensive.

Room Tip: The rooms in the "Front" face the ocean , and have a Balcony as well as a Hot tub. We stay...
