We were blessed with excellent weather on the day of the tour. The lighthouse is very interesting and the views of the coast are fantastic. There were many whales to be viewed on this date.

Be sure to schedule your visit. Look at the BLM website for times and dates. The tour is so worth it to see the history of the Light Station and more. I recommend this one!

This was so enjoyable. We not only got to tour this old lighthouse, and the area around it, we also got to see all the wonderful sea life. There were sea lions, elephants seals, seals, birds, whales, and sea otters. It was a wonderful day. The lighthouse was wonderful and the staff of the lighthouse were so friendly and knowledgeable! Love it

Pretty darn cool. It was just national Lighthouse Day so a friend and I headed to Piedras Blancas for a tour. Glad I did. I grew up here and even played at the lighthouse as a kid. But to hear the history of the lighthouse and see all the is going on was wonderful. If you have never been to a lighthouse it is so worth your time.

Had a good time on this tour although you have no freedom to wonder around. Tour guide is in the front and a employee of the park is at the end.You meet down at on old abandoned hotel (which we thought was odd) and you follow them into the grounds. The tour guide was interesting and quirky, to say the least. He was also is a guide at the Hurst Castle so it was nice to hear all his info on that too. Interesting information regarding the native plants, animals and light house history. Totally disappointed that we didnt get to go up the stairs in the light house. (too dangerous they said) Loved seeing all the seals on the beach. Great views. Good tour for the money. Worth doing once.
