Drove to see it but it was closed. If you want to see it, plan in advance as it has limited tour hours and only certain days of the week. Can't see much when you drive by as it's in the distance from the road. Brochure says tour lasts 2 hours and one has to meet at a designated location away from the lighthouse. Disappointed we could not see it.

This lighthouse tour was so much better than we expected. We learned so much history about the area and saw incredible wildlife (through their binoculars). The Park Rangers were very knowledgable which provided for a very enjoyable 2 hour tour. This was one of our favorite things to do during our stay on the central coast.

We rode our bikes here to see the elephant seals. If you go any farther north, be aware that the shoulder of the road disappears at places and the ride becomes increasingly dangerous.

We took our grandson to the light house a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. Our guide was very informative and we learned a lot abut the light house as well as the animals and plants that surround the area. The pamphlet made it sound like the walk was going to be rather hard, but it really wasn't. There were binoculars at several stops that were provided by the tour so that we could stop and see all the different types of animals on the rocks out in the ocean.

I went on this 2 hour tour with my teenage daughter. At first she thought it would be boring but we both really enjoyed the tour. About 1.5 hours are spent walking along the bluffs, looking at plants and sea life, using their binoculars while the naturalist gives you a history of the area and information about the wildlife. The last half hour is more about the light station. Our naturalist was very informative and pleasant. They have you meet at some abandoned old hotel but don't worry, you get to move your car to the parking lot behind the light station so all of your belongings are secure in the car. If you're in the area and are looking for a morning activity this is a good choice probably for ages 6 and up. Younger kids can go as the area is stroller friendly but they'd be bored and can't run free on the open bluffs.
