We stayed here about 5-6 years ago, and it was a very nice place to stay then. Not so much now. I would pick one of the other places now. Overpriced for what you are getting in return.

We had a romantic weekend in Cambria. The room was beautiful with a fireplace with a view of the ocean. We could walk across the street to the beach to watch the sunset or could watch it from our room. The room was very clean and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed a very good breakfast. The price was not bad for having an ocean view.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a full view...the cost is not that much more!

Picked this room from Trip Advisor and frankly was not expecting much based on the price. Its located right on the beach, and it was an amazingly pleasant surprise. Very Quaint, very quiet, and very comfortable. They had a very nice wine and cheese spread for the evening guests and a nice full breakfast. The staff was very helpful and this clearly is run like a family owned business, not some corporate "big box" hotel. It is not ultra modern, but it is more than adequate and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

We booked a room at the front of the property, providing us a great view of Moonstone Beach and ocean beyond. The surf sound was wonderful and the ocean breeze very nice. There is a road between the room and the beach, but it is lightly traveled (not Hwy 1), and at night there are very few cars. The balcony was ample enough to stand to watch the sunset. The beach boardwalk is right outside the hotel and is a great way to spend a morning. The room was spacious and had a microwave and fridge. Our room also had a gas fireplace and jacuzzi (not all rooms do), which were night touches. The Wifi worked fine when we needed it, and the TV had a decent selection of cable channels for when we wanted to tune in. The staff was friendly. The included breakfast was as you'd expect for a buffet-type breakfast and included eggs and meat each day in addition to the normal cereal, toast, waffles. Our bed was comfortable, and I liked that it was high off the floor, providing a nice view of the beach from the bed (rather than a view of the sky).

My intention was to give this property 4 stars because it's not a luxury place (more motel-ish, as are all the properties on this stretch), but as I wrote, I realized that the abundance of conveniences, great location, comfortable/clean room and bath, and friendly staff deserved a higher rating - thus my 5 stars.

Room Tip: There are several rooms with ocean views and balconies - get one of those if the price is right for...

This is a lovely hotel. It is located right by the water and a short distance to the main area of Cambria. The fireplace room was very spacious and we had a nice window seat that overlooked the water. Everything was clean and it was just an overall pleasant stay. The complimentary hot breakfast was a nice touch as was the wine/cheese hour. Overall, very nice and romantic. Have since recommended to others and would gladly stay again.

This is a lovely hotel. It is located across from the beach with immediate access to the boardwalk and shore. The complimentary breakfast is marvelous!!! The staff was friendly... the only thing that prevents us from ranking it higher is the LOUSY mattress. We spoke with the staff after our first night's stay and were told that a remodel is in the works, and they have often been told that the mattresses are inferior. That's all good, but it doesn't help us with this stay. No compensation nor alternative accommodations were offered. A sure disappointment, as we are staying 3 nights. We will consider staying again...but only after we are assured that the remodel is complete...with NEW mattresses!

Room Tip: Ask how old the mattress is. If it hasn't been replaced yet, stay somewhere else. Second story r...

We stayed at this hotel recently and had the most amazing experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Our room was very comfortable and we loved being able to walk right out to the beach. Every night we would walk the oceanfront boardwalk and view the beautiful sunset. Whether you want a romantic place or a family friendly place this would be perfect for anyone:)
