Visited Hearst Castle then spent one night at the Sand Pebbles Inn! The location is ideal for watching the sunset and then watching the sunrise while walking on the beach. The inn is spotless and seems brand new. Walking on the beach in the morning was so peaceful. Saw some seals on the rocks. In paradise!

What a charming review! Thank you so much for sharing. We strive for a clean and comfortable place for our guests and we do try to make every experience a great one. Nothing makes us happier than hearing from a guest that they had a fabulous time. There is nothing quite like seeing the Pacific Ocean in the morning. Exquisite!

We drive to Cambria from Los Angeles quite often. It use to be twice a year deal prior to acquiring our Prius hybrid. After that, it's more like once to twice a month. Usually it's a weekend day trip, but if we're inclined to stay in Cambria, we always book a room at the Sand Pebbles Inn. The Sand Pebbles Inn is part of the Cambria Inns collection and just like the rest of the collection, it provides a cozy retreat at the end of a long day's worth of adventuring (e.g. hiking, cycling, photographing, beach combing, etc.) Like all lodgings along Moonstone Drive, it is right across Moonstone Beach and is walking distance to Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill (our favorite restaurant in the area) and the Sea Chest. Whenever possible, we request the king room with a mini suite. It's kind of like a master bedroom suite with a sectioned-off sitting room. This room is located towards the end of the property, guaranteeing quietness, but the tradeoff is the lack of any views. The room is competitively rated, so it doesn't burn a hole on your wallet whenever you feel the urge to escape the hectic city life. I recommend booking rooms at least two weeks in advance to guarantee availability and up to 6 weeks in advance if your stay coincides with a holiday. It's been about 8 months since we last stayed overnight in Cambria and we're due for another stay over for Memorial Day weekend!

We always love hearing from our returning guests. Thank you for your thoughtful review of Sand Pebbles Inn. Cambria is one of those places that gets into your heart and we are so pleased to be a part of that experience for you. And we do hope in your hiking you have discovered the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, one of Cambria's somewhat hidden attractions.

Beautifully appointed room and incredibly clean. All staff was very friendly. Had an upper room with a side view of the ocean. Was nice to open a window at night and hear the waves. Fire place was a nice touch. Nice amenities in the room and goof selection of teas available thoughtful the day. Breakfast had a nice selection of pastries and made to order waffles.

This hotel has an amazing view, really comfy beds, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves....how can you too that? The room was clean, shower had good water pressure, and toiletries were of very good quality. Having a continental breakfast was also a nice treat...fruit, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, pastries, coffee and juice were all great options. Overall a great stay!

I wanted to visit Cambria for my birthday for the night a little last minute and decided to look up rates for this hotel since i've never stayed and the rates have come down quite a bit since the last time I received a quote. I booked a room with 2 queen beds and it was the first room on the left from the lobby. Even though it was the furthest, we still had a nice little ocean view.

Room and bathroom were clean and very spacious. The lobby was always stocked with coffee and teas and citrus infused water (yummy and refreshing!)

Breakfast was pastries, fruit, oatmeals, cereals, bagels, yogurt and a waffle station, where one of the workers will make it for you, which was really nice. The workers in the breakfast room were super nice and were constantly refilling the juice and coffee and cleaning tables. Definitely leave a tip for them.

Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

My husband and I and our teenage son stayed at the San Pebbles in for our vacation in August of 2012. What a great stay! The beds were fantastically comfortable. I usually have a hard time sleeping in hard beds, but these Beautyrest mattresses were just right. Our room was right next to the driveway, but it was quiet, restful, and we could hear the ocean waves. Very tranquil. The breakfast was very nice. Good selections and healthy choices. The shower and bathroom showed its age, but it was adequate and clean. The staff were helpful. Cookies delivered to our room each day was greatly appreciated, especially by our son. Nice touch! Towels and benches in the lobby helped keep the sand outside. I cannot say enough nice things about this inn.
