This is a funky old home that someone let loose their creative spirit on, if you need to be entertained then you won't care for it, but if you read book, have gone to college, think for yourself, then you will get a little kick walking by. We passed while on a walk into town and came upon it by accident, not expecting anything (expectations are for fools I think) we were able to love it for the serendipity and humanness in a society that has lost touch with being anything other than a consumer of goods. . . let your inner hippie out for a moment and do stop by if you are in the area.

We were excited to see a quirky piece of California history. It was less than a yawn. Just a hillside with a bunch of junk glued to a house. Thankfully, we didn't waste more than five minutes trying to find it. We even climbed the road a bit further just to be sure we weren't missing the real place.

We were staying on moonstone beach so this was a very small detail; I'm glad. It was useless. The place is boarded up with fencing around. Looks to me as if it has been closed down. Looks interesting from the outside but we got no further. It still appears on the local tv infomercial though.

Drove up the ridge and found the "interesting house" on the left --- guide came out and asked if we wanted a tour - but we declined due to "condition and steps involved" in forging up the hillside. A must see for photos -- and something to tell your relatives!!!

Interesting...we didn't get to view the inside only had a view from the street. It was surrounded by weeds and a fence to keep people out, would have been nice to have been able to take a tour.
