We found this place listed under restaurants and although I guess it could be, let's be clear, it is just a sandwich shop with some baked goods. We ordered three sandwiches (tuna, turkey, and roast beef), sodas, and a chocolate croissant for lunch. Sandwiches were $7-$8. The quality and taste were superb, especially the roast beef as the thickness of the meat suggested it was cut from an actual roast rather than machine sliced from one of those chunks behind your typical grocery store counter. Nice place to have lunch. I don't suggest dinner here though unless you like sandwiches for dinner.

I read the reviews on Sandy's before going, and they all sounded very favorable. So many food shops and restaurants in Cambria are all hype but end up having average food and poor service. This deli is simple and pleasant and I think a good value, for Cambria.
We were in Morro Bay for a few days and we took a trip to the San Simeon Pier on August 9th. We grabbed a couple of sandwiches here and headed back for a day of pier fishing. We got the Turkey Club $8.00, and The Godfather $9.00. That might sound pricey for a deli sandwich but they are huge, and the size and flavor make Subway look like school cafeteria food.
The club is on sourdough and has all the toppings you'd ever want. The brea is maybe a bit too soft, not the chewy firm texture of most sourdough. The Godfather has roast beef, ham, capacolla, pepperoni on a long sub roll with provolone and "the works." It's listed under the "Hot" sandwich category on the menu but it really is not hot, but that didn't make a difference. It is excellent.
All of the ingredients on both of the sandwiches tasted very fresh. I am sure everything on the menu is above average. The waitstaff at the counter is friendly and efficient. There is a nice seating area outside, plus the inside eating area is spacious and has a nice relaxing decor.
I would go back and I would recommend.

Great, fresh food and smoothies make this a great, classic Ca. stop. No pretense, not much atmosphere, except for the cute tables in the courtyard, but fresh food and laid back folks. Good prices.

Inconspicuous and unpretentious, just good food for reasonable prices! Especially liked their chicken-avocado-taco salad!
