We just returned from a four day stay at the White Water Inn and were extremely pleased. The room was clean and nice. The staff was great. It was nice to have a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

We were happily surprised at the quality of the Continental Breakfast brought to the room in the morning. Hot muffins, bagels, cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, grapes, bananas, apples, strawberries, and coffee. Just great.

You can literally walk across the street to the beach and then walk down to the rocks where you can see sea lions lazing.

If you travel to Cambria, don't expect to be able to use your cell phone. Most of the town has no cell reception, including the area around the hotel. Take a long distance phone card with you because you will need it in order to place a long distance call from the hotel phone. The phone instructions don't tell you how to make a call to an 800 number, but you can do it.

The hotel has a wireless Internet connection, but I was only able to get my laptop to connect for a few minutes during our stay because the signal strength was too weak.

Stayed at the White Water Inn a few years ago and raved about it to my co-workers. So what did I get as my retirement gift? - The Elmer Dils Special at the White Water Inn - plus some spending money! The stay this time was even better than the last - it was low season and mid-week, so there were very few tourists. I have been to many vacation spots in California, and this is definitely one of the most tranquil. The weather was perfect; the strolls along the shoreline were refreshing; the drive north on Hwy 1 offered some spectacular sights of the coastline; and watching the sunset across the street from the motel was stunning. (The difference this time was there were no sea lions all along the beaches, which allowed us to walk freely along the shore.) The included $85 dinner coupon was just enough for a casual lavish dinner for two. The motel staff was friendly, the room cozy - but it might get a little bit chilly later at night because the timer on the fireplace sets for a maximum of 1 hour at a time. I also enjoyed the breakfast brought to the room every morning. When you come here, don't expect to do anything exciting, but DO prepare to relax. The cellphones don't even work except for a couple of spots around the area (you WILL recognize those areas with a few cars parked and people standing outside talking on the cellphone).

My wife and I stayed 4 nights here at the WWI. We orginally booked 3 nights, but were having such a good time we stayed an extra night. We've been coming to Cambria for 5 years and this is our 1st time at this hotel. They clean your car windows, deliver breakfast to your room, the rooms were spotless, and the staff friendly. My only complaints are the fireplaces are pointless. The pilot lite was bigger than the fireplace flames, and the plumbing is super noisy.

My husband and I stayed at the White Water Inn Thanksgiving weekend. The room was sooo clean, comfortable and very quiet. The staff was polite and very helpful.
The only complaint I had was after 3 mornings I was getting tired of the same flavor muffins.
We will definately return.

Stayed in Cambria's White Water Inn for only one night. The rooms are very nice and breakfast is comlimentary and served in the room. The hotel is a stonethrow away from the beach, cliffs and wildlife. The lady at the reception is very kind and as far I understood from a friend this hotel is one of the cheaper and nicest ones that are situated here next to each other. A large influence on the overall experience however, might not be the quality of the hotel, but the entire scenery in which these hotels are situated.

Nice area to stay a few days. I would go to the White Water Inn again.

We were very pleased with our stay at the White Water Inn. We had 2 King rooms that connected since we were traveling w/ our 2 teenage daughter. The rooms were impeccably clean & comfortable. They deliver a light continental breakfast to your room each morning which consists of fresh fruit, bagels & warm muffins. We booked the midweek special that included a $50 certificate for dinner & a $15 certificate for lunch for each room.

This inn is about 15 minutes from Hearst Castle. My husband & I would like to take other tours at Hearst & will definitely consider staying at the White Water Inn again!

The White Water is a charming little inn with a bed & breakfast feel. You can't beat the location. The Inn is located across the road from the boardwalk that runs along Moonstone Beach.
We were lucky enough to book our stay with the Elmer Dills package. The package included a King room with a nice little view of the ocean, a basket of goodies and champagne and a certificate for dinner at the Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill. GREAT value! The room was clean and cozy...a bit small, but not cramped. The bathroom was large, with a nice whirpool bath. We were treated to a lovely breakfast, delivered to our door each morning. The coffee was delicious and the bagels and muffins were warm and fresh.
It rained during the first night of our stay and were pleasently surprised to find the staff had cleaned the windows of the cars in the morning. Nice touch!
The innkeepers offer movies from their video library at no extra charge. (We chose "Sideways", as we were planning a day of wine tasting in Paso Robles the following day) We had a lovely day visiting several wineries, enjoying wine tastings and the scenic drive. Spring is the best time to visit - the hills are so green!
My husband and I are looking forward to returning to Cambria next year at this time and most definitely plan to stay at The White Water Inn.
