Very kind host. Customer service is exceptional. The room was very nice and comfortable. We arrived here by chance after having spent the week at Monterey and driving down Highway 1. What a wonderful find. They delivered breakfast in the morning and cleaned the windshield of my car. Nice touches.

The location was unbeatable and the experience unforgettable. The view from our room was breathtaking. Donovan, the innkeeper was most gracious and forever helpful. His advice to see the elephant seals 8 miles north was spot on, as was the tip on stopping at the Sebastian market for an amazing sandwich. We've stayed elsewhere on the coast before, but we will only stay at the White Water Inn in the future. You must see the sunset through the giant picture window in room #2, or better yet, from the hot tub on the front porch. The rooms are hospital-clean, and the staff is warm and friendly.

Room Tip: Splurge on room #2. You won't be disappointed.

This was our second trip to the White Water. The reservation process was a pleasure, the welcome and warm cookie on arrival (2:00 check in...great for a walk on the boardwalk) great. Linens very nice, bathroom very nice, continental breakfast, warm from the oven with nice juice, brewed coffee and fruit. We look forward to a return trip. The proprietor is the best!

It is easy to keep customers happy when everything happens as planned. But it is a credit to the proprietor (Donovan) when a customer can remain happy, when something unforeseen does happen. It is that kind of special attention one doesn't expect to find in a larger chain; but can look forward to at the White Water Inn. Donovan cares about his clientele and it shows. The White Water Inn is located close enough to the ocean that you can hear the waves rolling onto the beach at night (with window open). Service and staff are attentive and friendly. A great place to stay if you want to visit Hearst Castle, Cambria, or Paso Robles Wineries. The proximity to Cambria makes the White Water Inn a better place to stay than San Simeon. And Moonstone Beach Drive is off the 1 Fwy, so traffic noise is reduced. Other places you can stay on Moonstone Beach Drive are cheaper, but have a Motel 6 look to them. If you want good value, good location, good service, private accommodations, a quaint setting, and a personal touch; I’d highly recommend the White Water Inn.

We could only stay one night on our way back from a ten day trip to Napa and on to Mendicino, then Cambria and home to Orange County. We have stayed here before and enjoy the low key and friendly people who run the inn. The room was cute, bed comfortable, including the sheets so soft. Next time we will plan on staying longer. Love the area

Room Tip: King room was very comfortable, roomy and clean.

We were planning to stay at Monterey but as it was dusk we took the turnoff to Cambria...what a wonderful find...driving though the Main Street we were amazed at all the interesting shops, variety of restaurants and it was scarecrow festival time so there were scarecrows everywhere. Following the sign to more scarecrows ended up on a street beside the ocean filled with quaint guesthouses. We wandered into the White Water Inn as we thought it looked so pretty. Greeted by very helpful Austin we were shown a couple of rooms at a good price so we chose cottage 8 with hardwood floors...spacious, beautifully presented and clean...and a comfy king size bed. A beautiful inn in a lovely spot in the world...we wished we could have stayed another night to explore this cute town.

White Water Inn on Moonstone Beach is a gem. The location is fabulous, the staff are helpful, the breakfast was yummy, and the price is fair. The beds are soooo comfy , the bedspreads , sheets and blankets are soft, white and immaculately clean. We wound up spending three nights there even though we had only intended to stay one night because we loved it there so much. We tried three different rooms. They each had a fireplace, fridge, jacuzzi, thick terry cloth robes, lots of windows opening out to the ocean. We stayed on the weekend. But during the week there is a special that sounds too good to pass up. We will be back!
