We recently stayed 6 nights at this Inn and would definitely recommend it. We arrived in Cambrai on the Friday night of a long weekend with no reservation and were beginning to wonder if we ever going to find a room when the owners, Tim and Sheerin opened up a suite for us and were very friendly and accomodating. The Inn is very well maintained in a great location and we were given several helpful ideas for restaurants, local activites, etc. We loved Cambria - it's a pretty little town with no big box stores or fast food joints but lots of great local dining options and small shops. It's also close to the Hearst Castle, San Simeon beach, and LOTS of wineries.

Two night stay. Safe, clean, comfy and quiet. Balcony rooms on first & 2nd floors look out over creek and not much else, so very peaceful, PLUS, if you are out at the right time in the morning and evening, you can watch the deer grazing between your room and the creek! Pilot went out on the wall heater, but they came immediately to fix. Office closed at night, but someone is on the property to help if there is an issue. Call number on office door and they will handle, but after fixing the pilot, they gave me the extension to call direct if it went out again...
Had almost booked at another place up the street a bit, but we drove by and that place was VERY old and tired from the outside, while Creekside is fresh and charming. Pix on Trip Advisor are very accurate. They even have a nice little bench area for smokers in the parking lot.
The man (owner?) with the Mercedes was also extremely nice!
Excellent value for your dollar. Also noted that mid-week they sometimes offer free upgrade to the balcony rooms. Would definitely stay again!

This pretty Inn offered great value for money, a comfortable bed, a good shower and a friendly check in. Who could ask for more?
Would also recommend Linn's for breakfast. sausage patties have to be tried to be believed.

My friend and I stayed here one night on our trip up the coast. The location was great - just a few blocks from shops and restaurants. We were on the second floor with a balcony facing a lovely creek just behind us. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was adequately sized for our needs. We had two beds and a nice round table in the corner at which we could sit to use our computers. The bathroom sink was outside the rest of the bathroom, which is nice when two people are trying to get ready in the morning. The downsides: my bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I didn't get much sleep. I haven't slept on a bed this hard in years. The wireless internet worked until around 10 pm, when it went down. Neither of us could get back online for the rest of the night and until we checked out the next morning. There were two wifi lines; neither of them worked in our room. Unfortunately, the front desk closes at 9 pm so there was no one we could call for help. We were pretty frustrated as we always make sure we can get internet access wherever we go. I'm rating "service" as "poor" because of the fact that the desk closes at 9 pm every night.

Room Tip: Note that if you have a second floor room, you will have to carry your things up the stairs. There i...

We stayed here for just one night. The biggest pluses are the price, the fact that they allow pets and the location; it is just a block from shops and restaurants. The service and the cleanliness were fine, but not exceptional. The downside is that the furnishings are really tired; it reminded me of something out of the 70's...down to the Cashmere Bouquet-type soap in the bathroom. The carpet was patched and the mattress was kind of old, thin and swayed. All in all it wasn't bad; I didn't feel as though we would catch cooties or anything, it just had a kind of down at the heels feel to it. Fine for one night, but would be depressing for much longer.

We stayed at the Creekside Inn for only one night- although we wish we were in Cambria longer. The Inn has a GREAT location at the East Village- you can walk to the shops and restaurants in a couple minutes! the rooms were very clean, the staff and owners were as nice as can be, our room had a balcony over-looking the hills, woods, and creek. It was really restful sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and the serenity of the area. The water pressure is fine, the beds were comfortable for a good nights sleep, we had a little refrigerator, the room was plenty big, and the tv was good size (37 inches?- not sure, but big enough) and there was cable. I did not bring my laptop, so cannot evaluate the internet connection. Would we stay again?" absolutely.

Room Tip: As for a room with a balcony view of the creek and hills

I've lived in California for more than 40 years and I know that if you want luxury you're going to pay for it. Creekside Inn is not luxurious but it is clean, comfortable, and it is a bargain considering the price of vacationing in California. I will definitely stay here again and will encourage other family members to book here as well.
