“New Name & Owners - Great Asian Food Now Too”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

This restaurant is now called the Bamboo Steakhouse. It is under new ownership. We have eaten there about five or six times now. When the owner is cooking, the asian food is outstanding. The Wonton soup is the best I have ever had anywhere. When someone else is cooking, it is still good, but a significant step down. We usually go Sunday afternoons when it is not busy; service and attention has been really good each time. The American part of the menu, mostly from the prior incarnation as the Sportsman, seemed to vary in quality from ok to very good. We mostly select from the asian menu these days. Try the Walnut Shrimp or the Curry Fried Rice.

“Old & Tired”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Had dinner there a few weeks ago. The food, especially the steaks are good and the prices are very reasonable. The only issue is appearance, if that is important to your dining experience. The restaurant is "tired" looking. The furnishings are old and musty and look like they haven't been touched in a long time. When we walked in, all 4 of us looked at each other and wondered if we should venture into the dining area. There was no hostess and 1 waitress- this at dinnertime on a Sunday. Well the food was surprisingly good and the wine list is fine and very reasonably priced. Unless I was staying at the Holiday Inn next door, I don't think I would return here.

“Good Place for Dinner”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

It's a good place to have dinner with family. Many choices on the food, steak, chicken, seafood, red wine, etc. The staffs are very nice and willing to help us anytime. We did enjoy our dinners.
