When arriving at the Baymont Inn, I received nothing less than amazing service. Every need and want was met. The breakfast was Awesome, the room was enormous and pristine. Above having a great experience, the staff was outstanding they made my time away from home feel like I was home. I recommend this hotel to all and last but not least the prices are affordable!

Whatever you pay for this hotel, it is probably too much. The hotel, as one traveler put it, a truck stop hotel. There are literally 10-20 semi's parked outside on any given night. The staff is Indian and it has the feel of an independent motel, but certainly not the the caliber of a Wyndam hotel by any stretch of the imagination. The motel stinks of an aging grandma who hasn't had a housekeeper in years mixed in with an exterminator's best pesticide. The carpets are horribly stained (someone burned the carpet with the iron, as well) from guests over the years. The landscaping is in poor repair and window screens falling off the building. The photos's in their advertisements show suites. They may have suites, but I was given a basic room (and by basic, I don't mean meeting your expectations.) The bathrooms are atrocious and cramped tub and pressure washer shower is not the least of the problem. I truly don't know how Wyndam can put their name on this motel. Disgraceful is a gross understatement.

Room Tip: I would not stay here

Dogs in eating area. Barefoot employer or family member in kitchen. Moldy ac. Screen off window. Housekeeping unplugged refrigerator and we lost perishables. Turned ac off every day.
Wallpaper peeling in bathroom. Yuck. Find someplace else! We won't be back. Have pics if want to see

Cons: Rugs loose, stained and torn.Wall paper tearing, old heater no cover over vents, well worn sheets, terrible tiny pillows, rusty sink and shower. Old tv poor reception on many cheeannels.
We were told by booking.com $73.10 was half price special.....NO WAY THIS IS EVEN WORTH $73.10....MUCH LESS $146.00!!! Hotel website states $89.95....

When I'm visiting family & friends in Ventura County, this is my favorite spot: free hot breakfast, spacious rooms, plenty of parking, fridge & microwave, and very reasonable price, leaving me plenty to spend outside the hotel. I like the large King suites in front, with Sofa & Chair, plus the Desk area near the microwave, but if you prefer the smaller suites, they face the parking lot in back, followed by crops leading to the horizon, and no view of the freeway.

They've made significant improvements these last few months, including heating the pool. If you're looking for a comfortable place, without paying Hilton rates, this is it. No sense breaking the bank while you're sleeping...

Room Tip: Large King Suites with seating for guests face the freeway if that doesn't bother you. Smaller S...

This could be a really good hotel, however, it is very tired, and needs updating. The room we were allocated was on the top floor facing onto route 101, which was 50 yards away. The noise of the traffic was a constant 24 hours. The room was huge with plenty of room to spread out in, this was signed up as a non smoking room, however, there were several cigarette burns in the carpet. The kingsize bed was in good condition, with a decent mattress, however, when we got into bed that night the linen smelt fusty, couldn't decide if it was the washing powder or cigarette smoke. The bath was stained, and the shower rusty, the plug did not fit in the bath, not that I would have had a bath! The towels were old and stained, we could not tell whether they had been washed or just tumble dried, definitely did not smell fresh. The hot water was lukewarm, we did not need to adjust with the cold tap. There was no plug in the sink and the toilet leaked from the pipes at the back of it, we had to turn off the water after each flush. The wallpaper was pealing away from the walls at the edges, and a couple of the lampshades were broken. Several of the bulbs did not work, but there were enough lights in the room to compensate for this. The television was out of the ark, it had to heat up before you could see the picture properly, with the colours being very red on every channel. The microwave and fridge were old but worked fine. This could be a lovely hotel with a little bit of money invested in it. At present the hotel is obviously being used as a truck stop, as seen by the number of trucks parked in the large car park and on the road outside the hotel. The staff were lovely and very helpful. This is not an executive hotel it must have been in its day, but not at present.
