We would like to tell anyone reading this to not stay here....selfishly....
Truly, though, it is one of those rare finds in your travels where everything is just perfect. Phillip and Peter are attentive, yet respectful of your need for personal time. The accomodations are done well, the grounds stunning and peaceful, and the location the best in Napa Valley. As everyone else has noted, the breakfasts are worth the trip alone, and the afternoon cheese plates with the open wine and relaxing setting really help you unwind. So, to help this place stay accessible for us to reserve in the future, please don't stay here. It's just too nice to share...

We were in Napa just this past weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday, we had the opportunity to stay at Chateau de Vie for one night. Honestly, I fall short of words in order to describe how wonderful our experience at this place was! Here are few quick notes on our stay and the property:
1. The Chateau is in the midst of vineyards. It is just perfectly located away from the commercial parts of napa towns and yet close to everything around. The property gardens are beautiful with a spa feel, pool and hot tub.
2. Each room in the property is decorated in elegance and with a personal touch. We were assigned the room (I'd rather say a suite) on the third floor. Again, it felt like everything in our room was presented with love. Our bed had a beautiful spread and it was very comfortable. The bathroom had everything we would need and the products (l'occitane) very nice.
3. Philips greeted and checked us in upon our arrival. We were very comfortable throughout our stay and were treated very royally. Not to mention Chateau de Vie's very own vineyard's wine was available complimentary 24 hours. Since it was my husband's birthday, we were given a complimentary champagne as well.
4. The morning breakfast was lavish and fresh! It was a three course breakfast with fresh orange juice/coffee. Prior to our checkout Philips's partner helped us decide on our wineries for the day and provided recommendations for lunch spots (which were amazing as well)

I would highly recommend this place to anyone and must say that every penny we paid was worth this stay. This is a gem of a place and we would go back in a heartbeat. I wish we spent more than one day at this place!!! Thank you for making this a memorable stay for us!

Although my wife has already written a review, I thought a man's perspective of this property needed to be documented. The property provided all the comforts of home adding 5 star service fit for a king. The property is surrounded by vineyards. Taking advantage of every aspect of a business, the owners bottle their own grapes and I can speak from experience, delicious! They provide wine and cheese every evening and a terrific breakfast every morning. Both Peter and Phillip are very accommodating to every need and request from their guest. The grounds are well groomed and the gardens could not fit the decor of a French property even in the heart of Bordeaux. The views are unbelieveable and a nice morning or afternoon run through the vineyards is very refreshing. The recommendations they gave were the places of most fun and best experiences. This will be a place my wife and I will visit over and over again.

Room Tip: Every room is a good room! But, the carriage house is beautiful!

Unimaginable views, refined accommodations and service beyond compare are just a few places to begin when describing Chateau De Vie. My husband and I choose to reside at five star properties when vacationing. With L'Occtaine as the amminities and a daily gourmet breakfast (as pictured below), I cannot say we had anything less! The owners, Phillip and Peter, are hands on with every aspect of the operation, from preparing and serving the food to making reservations and recommendations. They make you feel as if you are the only couple/ person visiting. While there are plenty of places on the property to relax and unwind, the hot tub and pool are very private and seperate from the other areas on the grounds. It is very French with an abundance of personality.

Room Tip: Every room in the house has a view and the carriage house is a seperate suite! Every room has its o...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon a few weeks ago. We were so impressed by the stay!!! Peter and Phillip were so accomidating, making sure we had breakfast according to our schedule. And the breakfast!!! My goodness...so delicious and my husband cleaned his plates every morning! :) We were also offered plates of cheeses and crakers and fruits with all the wine we could drink! I looked forward to those plates every evening! haha! The grounds around the B&B are just breathtaking! It is also very close to town and a lot of surrounding areas where there are amazing restaurants, shopping areas and wineries. I reccomend Napa and Chateau de Vie to the utmost! There is just no other place comparable in Napa or any surrounding area. Don't waste your money anywhere else, you will be so happy you stayed here!!! :) Thank you Peter and Phillip for making our honeymoon unforgetable!! :)

CDV is an absolute dream location. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the pool warm, the hot tub toasty, the vineyard gorgeous and the house incredibly well appointed. The hosts, Peter and Felipe, are the crowning jewels in this B&B. They are very knowledgable of the area and always willing to lend a suggestion or connection.

Felipe is a fantastic chef bringing out something new and tantalizing each morning.

We can't recommend this place enough! Do yourself a favor and book them if you can!

Room Tip: If you can swing it, ask for the private bungalow that is nestled up against the vineyard. It's...

This B&B went above and beyond our expectations in every way. We were immediately made to feel right at home. Phillip was an excellent host. He provided lots of information about local sights and restaurants while at the same time respecting our privacy. The Inn is nestled right in the vineyards and makes for beautifully romantic evening walks. The hot tub and pool were amazing additions to otherwise elegant grounds. The two course gourmet breakfast was outstanding. This stay was beyond excellent. Well worth the luxurious price-tag.
