“so relaxing!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Beautiful quaint little cottage with nice fire place, soft plush pillows and bedding you could lay in all day, and amazing jacuzzi tub. The perfect place to relax!

They also take great care of you, from the moment you arrive with a bottle of wine in your room to the lists of Calistoga activities to choose from.

Definitely on the list to return there again!

Room Tip: If you use a groupon for this place be sure to print up a copy just in case!

Cottage Grove Inn was one of the nicest placest we have ever stayed! The attention to detail is astounding! The work that is put into making your stay special is so evident, from the coziness of the cottage, the amenities that are to your use, like picnic baskets, bicycles, firewood & blankets by fireplace, wine to greet you, Keurig machine, snacks, bottled water, special soaps for the in room jacuzzi, and the most amazing pillows we have ever slept on!!! There is also a wine& cheese gathering 5-7pm, and delicious breakfast starting at 7am. There is a front porch to sit and enjoy the gardens, this entire property is spotless and well kept. The office has a nice area of knick knacks to shop, and flavored water at all times. with winery lists & maps & discounts, menus of all the local restaurants and anything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay in Calistoga. We had a wonderful stay and were also welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a hand written note by the general manager, Donna wishing us a happy anniversary (which i told the reservationist our 30th anniversary was last week). This is a beautiful & very special place to stay and enjoy the surrounding area. Dont miss this place!!!

Room Tip: all the cottages are beautiful

The Cottage Grove Inn staff thanks you Sandy for such a wonderful review. We put a lot of heart into making every guest feel comfortable and right at home. The lush green setting is carefully selected and maintained along with the flowers, fountains and bird baths that surround the individual cottages. Thank you for taking notice and we look forward to hosting you next time!

In August 2012, I was on a business trip to Napa and my husband joined me last minute. We drove into Calistoga and walked into the office for Cottage Grove Inn. So helpful, last minute booking, gracious hostess. We were given the keys to our cute, cute, cute little cottage. A fireplace and a jacuzzi tub? This is what the weary soul needed. An added bonus...a mini wine and cheese pairing at 5pm, just to tie your over while you decide where to have dinner. We stayed two extra nights, got our batteries recharged and pinched ourselves every morning when we woke up. The setting is so quaint and unexpected...thank you for a wonderful memory.

Room Tip: All the cottages have their own unique personality there is no bad choice.

From the moment we arrived at the Cottage Grove Inn, From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. And we were blown away upon entering our cottage. From the bed to fireplace and jacuzzi tube...Everything was perfect! I wouldn’t have minded staying a few more days…or a few more months.

As an avid runner, I really appreciated the Inn's location. One night I had a pleasant run through "downtown" Calistoga while the next morning, I got to experience a more scenic route that took me to the Old Faithful Geyser of California.

Our trip to Calistoga was all that more special because we stayed at the Cottage Grove Inn. Thank you for the amazing treatment and time.

Thank you so much Qraig for taking the time to share your experience at Cottage Grove Inn. We're so pleased that you enjoyed the great weather and the beautiful outdoors that the Napa Valley is known for. There are so many fun outdoor activities to choose from; taking our complimentary bikes to nearby wineries or maybe on a picnic, vineyard tours, hiking and much more. The Valley is like a magical world; with miles and miles of rolling hills showing off the well kept vine lines in all shades of green...the perfect scenery for a runner! Thank you again for your kind comments and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

This was a very cozy quaint cottage that was perfect after a day of visiting wineries. I only wish it was located in another town. Calistoga did not have as much to offer as St. Helena or Healdsburg. But that is my only complaint. The Inn itself was great. We especially enjoyed lighting the fire place for the cool mornings.

We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us at Cottage Grove Inn. Calistoga is a very special place among many unique towns, with the main street lined with local shops and some of the finest restaurants Napa Valley has to offer.
Our guests love that we are close enough to downtown for a nice stroll or a short bike ride to nearby wineries with our complimentary bikes.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

I got a groupon for Cottage Grove Inn and just stayed there last week. AMAZING! Did Not want to check out! Charming, cozy cute and friendly staff! Breakfast and wine and cheese in the afternoon. We got there late the first night to check in and they even made sure we had wine and cheese in our room when we arrived! The jacuzzi tub was huge and a treat every night. We lite the fireplace daily and did not even want to leave our beautiful room for our whole stay! So quite, no children under 12 allowed to stay for all you folks without kids and want a tranquil quite get away!
So close to the Main St., nearby wineries. petrified forest and Geyser. Go try Solbar for lunch or dinner. We got a recommendation at the Calistoga olive oil company that proved to be the best meal ever! I am telling everyone who goes to Calistoga to stay at the Cottage Grove Inn. My brother lives in CA an hour away from here and we showed him the room and he and his wife were impressed and want to go stay sometime.

I stayed here for our anniversary in December. The location was perfect - steps away from the "main" street which was full of great restaurants also only shuttle service and bike ride away from wineries. We got an in-room couples massage that left us in pure bliss. This was followed by a romantic bubble bath in their over-sized double-person soaking tub. Wine and cheese happy hour was great - a bit too quiet for our personality, but we just took it back to our cottage. The privacy of the cottage was great! The bed was SO comfortable. The morning breakfast is great!! Smoothies, oatmeal, fresh waffles - delicious!

We couldn't have said it better our selves, thank you Vanessa! We feel very special when couples choose to stay with us and celebrate their special occasions, and for that reason we offer many different packages to fit the moment.
Maybe there is a proposal in the future? Or Honeymoon? We've created specials for these purposes that include champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries and a fresh bouquet of flowers upon check-in. A great way to celebrate and show that special someone how much they mean.
We appreciate Vanessa taking the time to review us and we look forward to celebrating another special occasion soon!
