The greeting and service was genuinely friendly and prompt. The food was amazing with attention to detail in presentation and taste. We started with the Heirloom Tomato Salad...unbelievable! My husband had the eggplant dish and raved about the prep style and taste. I had Shrimp Papparadelle, which is not just a pasta dish, let me say it was amazing...the sauce was so original and smooth. We didn't have any wine but it looked like they had a wonderful selection. This restaurant should be tried if you are in the area the prices are very fair too for this kind quality.

Chose Barolo on the spur of the moment after walking past a few other restaurants on the main street. It wasn't as crowed as some of the other restaurants, so wasn't sure what to expect. We were welcomed and seated right away. The service was excellent/very accommodating. The house bread and cheese plate was a great way to start the meal, along with a glass of wine. We ordered the homemade gnocchi to share. I haven't tasted such delicious gnocchi since Italy! Absolutely fabulous. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Deserts looked good, albeit a bit on the small side. We'll be back!

We went to Barolo's after being unable to get a table at Flat Iron and we were so happy to have made that decision! The food was great, particularly the Spaghetti & Meatballs (who would have thought?). The service was consistent which is always a plus and we were seated by the window to do some people watching while enjoying our delicious entrees.

We both love Italian and while in Calistoga we visited Barolo. the service was excellent. The bread plate was served with a white bean dip, not to our liking. Pretty bland. We ordered the Lasagne and the 4 Cheese Baked Rigatoni. They were both delish! I ate off my husbands plate! The Bolognase served around the lasagne was supurb! Sorry we couldn't enjoy desert but left very contented. Back at home now and still wish I could have another order of the Lasagne!
