Wow, such high hopes to try this restaurant after all the glowing reviews and ratings, but management needs to learn something about phone etiquette, reservations and opening on time. We got there early around 4:30 prior to our 5pm reservations to maybe have a cocktail but the door was locked. By 5pm we were waiting outside for dinner but the place was dark, no lights on. The outside menu clearly said they were open from lunch through dinner so we were surprised that no one was there. By 5:20 we were starved and tired of waiting. I called to see if someone was inside, maybe we had the days or times wrong? The person who answered was clearly annoyed and shockingly rude. They seemed disturbed that anyone was calling. Seriously? This is your business! Whoever it was (manager, owner?) said he had just arrived (at 5:20pm) and would open the doors when he was finished setting up. No apologies or accommodation, no friendliness. We walked away and had a lovely dinner instead at a competitor's restaurant down the sidewalk. Maybe this is what you get a small town with built in business-- no customer service whatsoever. What a shame.
