I can't say enough positive things about Meadowlark, and it's gracious hosts, Kurt and Richard. This was the second time we visited in the past year, and this is about as perfect a place you can find for hospitality, and relaxation. The rooms are very clean, and spacious. We had the mountain view room. with enough space on the patio to host a dozen people. The pool and jacuzzi always had chairs available, and at times we had both to ourselves. We stayed two nights, and wanted to stay longer, but they were booked up. Not only did Richard find other accomodations in the area for us, but invited us to spend the day, and evening at the pool, even though we weren't staying there. As I said, you arrive as guests, but in a short time, you are considered friends. The breakfasts were fantastic. The pancakes with strawberries, and the eggs benedict can't be beat. But the best part of the breakfast meal is the interaction with Kurt, Richard, and other guests. I can't remember staying at a Hotel or B&B where other guests have been so friendly. But that starts with the top (Kurt and Richard), and the atmosphere and environment they have created at Meadowlark. We met several people at breakfast, and it turns out one couple will be in Hawaii the same time as us, and we are already making plans to get together. Kurt and Richard are also very helpful as far as dinner reservations, and the many wineries in the area. If you are looking for a place to get away, relax, and enjoy a friendly, respectful environment, Meadowlark cannot be beat. We live over 800 miles away, and it is well worth the drive.
