Owner description: Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

Because of the recent winter rains the geyser preformed about every 5 minutes and shot about 15 feet in the air for less than a minute. This is a just simple fill and hour's time if you are nearby and like to say you did it. At $5 it would be okay but $14 is stretching the price, while old people like me with a coupon paid $8,

Was better kept when last visited in Feb 2012. The video mentioned the geyser erupts every 90 or so minutes; however, we witnessed 3 eruptions during our 45 minute visit. The petting area for the goats is not well kept and littered with poop everywhere.

If you have a real strong interest in seeing a natural geyser, and are willing to pay $14 per person for the privilege then go ahead and stop by. It sprayed about every 10 minutes during our visit so you don't have to wait long. Picnic tables right in front of the geyser are available. There are also farm animals to see, which are cute and you can feed them. The "fainting goats" actually do faint when startled apparently, but they are so used to people that if you want to startle them, you have "think outside the box" as the guy at the ticket counter put it. I was unsuccessful. The place is sort of hokey touristy, but we had a nice time there. There was construction going on, so it might get better in the future.

We couldn't believe the entrance fee for this place and managed to negotiate a deal for four of us to go in. We waited in the car park while I fed my baby before we planned to go in. While we were waiting we saw the geyser erupt from the car park and couldn't believe that that was it! It was very small and unspectacular compared with other natural geysers we have seen in other parts of the world. We decided not to go in and same our money for something much more worthwhile!

We have seen geysers on Iceland and in Yellowstone NP and have always found them fascinating, therefore we wanted to see this geyser too, when we were in Napa Valley.

What a waste of money!

We had to pay $14 per person to se this place. $28 for 2 adults!!!

Yes, we saw a geyser - a small one that burbed every 5 minutes.....but that was it. The area seemed neglected and the information was poor. We stayed for 10 minutes and then we left feeling very disappointed. Rather spend the $28 on a good bottle of wine when you are in Napa - at least you then get something for your money.

If they had charged $3 per person it would have been ok - there was a geyser - even though a small one - but $14 is a rip-off - they should be ashamed!!!
